Here's a great take on the ABC grab-bag interview at the Astrodome

"I may not be pulling down six figures, but I know the difference between a reporter and an idiot."

Lots of good parody {parity?} on that site!

For all you that lump RW blogs with DU and Kos... check THIS little gem from Michelle Malkin
And that was before Michelle got her temper up.[/i]

    - - - -- - - - --

    Here's my point:

The longer one is in a position of influence, the Dumber and more arrogant they get.
This explains the actions of Ted Kennedy in various hearings.
This explains the Taft debacles in Ohio... and the RINO positions of various senators who have been inside the beltway too long.

This explains Dan Rather weeping about "Paradise Lost" and how it was before the common guy, in his pajamas at a keyboard, could call him on his freakin' arrogant distortions and downright phony news.

This WILL explain the shift, over the next year or two, in the editorial policies of certain major newspapers.

Just seeing the name Michelle Malkin gives me shivers... have you seen pictures of her?!?! She's such a baby-eater when her temper gets up!

For every Michael Moore, there's at least one Michelle Malkin, or Ann Coulter, or Hannity, or Limbaugh...

    Breaking News:

Greenpeace and Sierra Club policy wonks are scrambling to find a connection between the Mars Rovers and Big Oil, Halliburton and the Bush Administration after it was revealed that Martian ice caps are rapidly melting.. apparently due to global warming.

When it was suggested that increased solar activity might be the cause of the phenomenon on both planets, activist Barba Streisand exclaimed: "Dont be an ass.. you know how far away Mars is from here?"

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and New Black Panther Party leader Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz suggested it was a Bush plot to kill indigenous Martians.

Meanwhile, commenters on Markos Zuniga's Blog DailyKos are suggesting a CIA plot to siphon off the CO2 polar caps from Mars to Earth in order to hasten the economic disruptions already in the works for Cuba and Venezuela.

Cindy Sheehan, after consulting with interstellar statesman Ramsey Clark, demanded an immediate end to the occupation of Mars, in addition to Iraq and New Orleans.

In further news, the fine intellectuals over at Powerline (Time's Blog of the Year) are still in the hospital pending doctor's efforts to find an effective way to get they're collective heads out of Karl Rove's butt.

Called to Washington by Rove so they could have the regularly-scheduled maintenance on their GOP-inserted computer chip brains, the Powerliners were reciting the current GOP-talking points when Rove let out a monster fart.

In the immediate vacuum created by the expelling of rose-scented air (because remember, GOP farts don't stink), the Powerliners moved their heads closer and were collectively sucked into Mr. Rove's rectum. One Powerliner, prior to being pulled in was said to be saying "We can pay for Iraq without tax increases. We can pay for Katrina without tax increases. We have everything under control. Please disperse. There is nothing to... oh holy crap!"

Granted, they have been there before. Although, this is the first accidental visit to Mr. Rove that they have had.

If you have no answer, use invective....

Global warming on Mars, yes or no?

Pulling the pork out of the transportation bill would cover Katrina, at least.. yes or no?
    - Dont forget how the tax structure works.

Jackson et al would have to get a real job if there's no race biz... yes or no?

Cindy Sheehan is financed by socialists, yes or no?

Perhaps you might want to just pick one of the Powerline postings for today and focus on why it's wrong or unreasonable?

    Rest my case.

Remember the Bush bashing about Him NOT going to N.O.?

Today, David Gregory -NBC- asked Bush why he was going to 'the scene'... "wont you get in the way?"

Nice to have it both ways! Still stuck on stupid!

No he ISNT going to get in the way.

Interesting how with all of the attention on the Gulf Coast, Bush comes out and says that he is extending the stay of 9400 US troops in Iraq whose service was supposed to be finished. This guy is a real piece of work. Here is the article:

Wonder what would have happened, re: troop strength and duty dates, if the 'insurgent' bombings didnt each get global coverage?

Of course that has nothing to do with anything.... never does if it's inconvenient for the short-sighted.

The AlQuaeda handbook and Bin Ladin's fatwa's on that subject are simple rhetoric .

    - - -- - -

And hey... you forgot to mention Bush setting onto blacks with firehoses and attack dogs!

SHAME on you Dubya for your divisive race-baiting actions!!

    Shame, SHAME!!!!

And speaking of "pieces of work"... over/under on exactly WHEN Sulzberger's NYTimes or moonbat Turner's baby CNN, reports the Schumer aides' who illegally obtained the Credit Report on Maryland's Lt Gov?

I say 3 days less than it took them to report the Air America funding (from the mouths of babes and aged) scandal.

    Backbets:

Will they mention that they are Schumer aides and that the Lt Gov is a black Republican?

Will it come out or even be SUGGESTED that this was done to teach the uppity a lesson on what happens to those who leave the plantation?

    Will these be indicted?

Dont guess i'll even BOTHER wondering aloud what the level of volume would be if these were GOP aides and the target was a Dem ..... 'cause we ALL know the answer to THAT, dont we?

    Hillary HopScotch

Yeah, another tip based on the WingNut Fascist Capitalist Powerline Blog.. where i go EVERYDAY, so as to know what to think!

Anyway, having had her finger in the wind a LONG time on the subject, Hillary says:
    - NY Post, Deborah Orin

Good thing this came out too late for the Million Moron March in DC...

Watched some of it, by the way.... usual suspects, usual blather:

Bush lied, Israel BAD!, Palestinian 'victims', racist war in Iraq, racist reaction to Katrina.

Speaker from United Church of Christ {in Mao} is all it takes for me to turn off.
    - - - - - - -
    Rita Coverage:

Looks like MAYBE we were all lucky this time...

Damage to Houston Galveston minimal. downside, those who tried to evac will have doubts because of the jams on highways.. upside, will result in better planning, reaction just as this was better than Katrina.

    Idjits on parade:
Helo shots of damage showed several burned out buildings little wind damage.
SO... helo camera focuses on apartment buildings under construction where materials seem thrown about and tarpaper torn off roofs.

Didnt hang around to see if they could find a corpse of a dead cat ...

At least some people showed up for the Million Moron March... when they tried to throw a pro-war "rally" the next day, the Freepers expected 20,000... and got... about 100...

If a rally happens and D.C. and no one shows up, does it make a sound?

And as for the UCC (in Mao)... at least we don't have to put up with our relationship with the Moonies... How's the Supreme Spiritual Leader of World (crowned so by Repubs in D.C.) working out for you? Isn't he in bed with the North Koreans?

Only "relationship" I know of with the 'moonie-loonies' is the Wash Times.

Do I trust him with it... no. But I'll ASSUME that he isnt pulling the strings of the content and editorial opinion until I see otherwise.

But I have noticed that a few conservatives NEVER seem to link to it.

I think the Freepers got more that 100... though under 500.

But I also notice that the "anti-everything" crowd estimates keep going up...I just read one of 150,000..

Now THAT is prblematic. I've only seen ONE overhead shot, if there were even 100,000 there would SURELY have been more.

The shot I saw of the oval suggests a little over 25,000.

    With apologies to MNLandshark..
He should be able to read PowerLine: Who ya gonna call? without cringing too much....
But I would submit that Dan Young [R] Alaska MIGHT take it to his constituents.... and ask them IF they would give up all that Pork he brought them, for a year, to get some sanity back into the spending program.

Maybe, maybe not. So far all he's been is defensive about it.
