Off to see Green Day!

In an effort to convince myself that I'm not getting old, I'm off to see Green Day in just a few minutes...

And in an effort to break my body, I have GA Floor tickets...

Now that I have my hearing back and the bruises have healed... actually no bruises, we stayed halfway back on the floor to avoid the pit...

An unbelievable show... probably Top 5 in the list of great live shows... a great energy in the arena, amazing sound, and a really energetic 2+ hour performance made this worth the trip... I had been a Green Day fan since back in the "Dookie" days but never got a chance to see them... well worth the wait!

From the 10-minute epic "Jesus of Suburbia" suite to the one and only time they've ever played "Minnesota Girl" (Billie Joe's ode to his wife who is from here) it was all over the map... the opening with "American Idiot" was great... but the classics of "Longview", "Basket Case" and "I was all by myself" (sung by Tre Cool) were the toppers...

If they're coming to your town, get out and see them... tix here were only $40, which compared to the Stones who were here earlier in the week at $375, is a pretty good deal!
