    Note: I take the above with a grain of salt, as Mexico does not deserve to be ranked above the US... their away performances being relatively dismal. { I think Mexico will remedy that, however, Sept 3 at Crew Stadium.}

    And dating back 20 years the US has only lost 2 qualifiers at home.

    I will be watching Petty! I do not think the US will have any problems tonight with T&T. 2-0 to the US with our man McBride getting one.

    They might.. an dit might be good for them to get a loss under their belt.

    But i'm with you... I think it will be 2-1, McBride scoring and former Crew partner Stern John getting one, as well.

    Ah, the glory days of the Crew... never won anything but we had STARS!

    So far so good. 1-0 to the US at halftime thanks to our guy Brian McBride. A great assist from Bobby Convey of Reading. The US has had a number of chances and have not been able to put T&T away. However, my 2-0 scoreline is looking good right now.

    Nothing like scoring less than 2 minutes into the match!

    And as Tom now knows it SHOULD have been 2-0 but for a bad linesman's call.

    terrible offsides call on the Twellman goal Petty. I think the refereeing in this match was suspect all night. The first red on the T&T player should have been yellow, the ref was inconsistent calling fouls, and Convey's first yellow was questionable.

    Oh well, it was a win and it is one step closer to Germany.

    With some better finishing this game is 4-0 easy. O'Brien gets injured again if he could just stay healthy for the WC the US has a great chance of doing the same thing as last time. He is probably the best player when he is 100% but, he never is 100%.Cunningham should of came into the game to make the score what it should of been.Ralston should not make the team.Ralston is absolutley horrible and there are far better players that could play on the Right. Gaven,Quaranta,Reyna etc.A win against Mexico and the US will qualify and really the US should win.

    Don't get me started on the officiating last night. That game never should have been as close as it was. As for the line-up, I only hope that he will re-tool it for Mexico. I know several people were out for various reasons, so I imagine we'll see a different look on Sept. 3rd. On the plus side, I was happy with the play of Reyna. I felt his frustration throughout that match.

    US did pretty good for what was a make-shift back line.
    How about Eddie Lewis!

    As to Ralston... Arena always seems to put in ONE deranged terrier. Remember Richie (ankle biting munchkin of death) Williams?
    And Hejduk wasnt available for the game.. so there you have it!
