Propose: Boca loan to The Crew

I have suggested that the Crew get Carlos on loan to replace Robin Fraser, our excellent center D, who is on D/L for about 6 weeks.

Couple points to ponder:

He needs playing time at center

He'd be close to home

MLS attack has improved greatly in the months he's been gone and it would be a good chance for him to get real skill-improvement on a defense that isnt bad considering all other aspects - he'd be running the defensive show.

 

We'll see about that 'fog...but I can assure you he will be playing this weekend.

 

I think the best thing for Boca is rest. Perhaps a loan move would not be bad, but that would mean he plays all summer with no rest and then we will expect him to contribute for another nine months and then play in the World Cup 2006. I am just not seeing this idea as a good one.

heh... But the Fire would probably have had McBride if he hadnt been "rediscovered".

Tell you what... I bet Bruce Arena would be in favor of it.
