What is your favorite beer or favorite beers? This ought to bring about some interesting answers.

For me it would be as follows:

    1. Okocim
    2. Fratter
    3. Zywiec
    4. Pilsner-Urquell
    5. Carlsberg

    I'll drink just about anything.

I grew up on Yuengling and PBR, and stay with them if I'm drinking cheap.

Nicer beers are anything from Rogue or Victory, like Dead Guy Ale or Hop Devil.

Sierra Nevada has some good stuff as well.

Not a bad idea Johnny! You can count on me bringing some Polish beer for everyone to sample. Hopefully Mike will bring some Brooklyn Lager as well!

I'd bring some DC stuff, but unfortunately DC area is not known for really good beer.

I went to college in PA so i could bring some PA microbrews

    Upscale! or is it name-dropping?
    ;)

For an old guy who doesnt drink much...I'm satisfied with less exotic brands which I can find almost anywhere with minimal list recitation.

    1. Dos Equis (in appropriate locale or house)
    2. Sam Adams
    3. Sam Adams draft
    4. Bud Light Draft
    In that order..
If I cant get any of the above, I'll either ask for water or a house wine.

Name-dropping......no. I live in the Polish area of Chicago and with a Polish girlfriend, I have been introduced to numerous Polish beers. Ironically enough, when I was in London at the William Morris before the match, Zywiec was being served. It was unreal!

    When I'm in London:
    1) Carling (or Carling Extra Cold)
    2) Guinness Extra cold
    3) London Pride
    4) Ram n' Special (now I'm goin' old school here)

    Stateside:
    1) Boddingtons
    2) Guinness
    3) Brooklyn Lager
    4) Sam Adams Summer

But if I'm at home chillin, Bud will do. If you haven't gotten the hint, I'll drink anything.

    Bottoms up,

Well, I acquired the preferences when I was traveling a lot... but in strange places:

    Dos Equis in Dearborn Mich

    Sam Adams in Denver

But it had some strange results... an after meeting drink with some mid-level sales execs in LA, where you're known by your consumption... All ordered Corona with a twist, I was watching the waiter's face and you could see 'tourists!' running through it.

I ordered Dos Equis, salted peanuts on the side, and you should have seen his face. I got GREAT service the rest of the 2 hours.

Yeah... line up yer fav beers for the 'tailgate. I'm working on the vittles and location for it

why the hell don't they have guiness extra cold stateside?

That was introduced while i was living in london. Fantastic beer that is, better than guiness if that's possible.

My favorite beer of all time is this pretty simple beer from belgium called Jupiler.

You can't get it in the States though, drives me nuts

Usually, whatever I've brewed myself (though I've not done so in a while). It all depends on the area, the bar I may be in, time of day, whether I'm having a meal, . . .

However, when I'm buying at the beer distributor --
    Cheap:
    - Yuengling (usually Black & Tan);

Not as Cheap: Molson Light (you can drink it 'til the cows come home, and not gain as many pounds as you might have thought); Guinness (cans which are brewed in Ireland, rather than the bottles, which come from Canada); PU; Brooklyn Brown; . . .

Special Treat: Tetley's; Southampton; (sadly, they do not have any of the Fuller's beers)

I'll try anything once! (or twice!!) :D

wow.... I have more in common with Petty than anyone else on here....

I dont drink all that often, but once the gate is open... on come the floods....

In my fridge = Guiness & Budlight, sometimes a special guest appearance from Corona... for the ladies.

    but my favorites:

    ON TAP

    1. Guiness
    2. Stella Artois
    3. Killingtons
    4. Sam Adams
    5. Amber Bock

    BOTTLES

    1. Killians
    2. Mississippi Mud
    3. Corona
    4. Molson
    5. Heiniken

    CANS

    1. Guiness
    2. Boddingtons
    3. Heiniken Keg Cans
    4. Bud Ice
    5. Budweiser

    40 OZ

    1. Crazy Horse
    2. Ol' English
    3. Private Stock
    4. Coors Original
    5. Colt 45 Double Malt

40 oz beer is different from bottled beer under the premise that it might be somewhat warmer than cold towards the bottom, so the flavor is really important at that point.

For the record, I hate canned beer and would only drink it if I was already drinking and wasnt drunk yet. For further clarification, Guiness and Guiness extra cold are the same to me, I can hardly tell the difference, but once I realize that its available when I'm in london, I'm well past sober and not slowing down anytime soon.

Cdubbs, I'll be more than happy to find room for a Bombay Sapphire bottle in my bag on the trip over.

    Fat Tire = Good

We can't get it here in Minnie, so whenever I'm in Denver I usually bring a 12-pack back with me... and to add a good St. Paul brew to the list...

    Summit Pale Ale

when get to ireland- love guinness , carlsberg & smithwicks on tap....

@ home on tap love a cold- harp, fosters & even a bud

favorite bottle beer is sapporo or fosters, for river trips where it's up to 120 degrees or so- coors light is the perfect afternoon brew....

has been 14 yrs since i've seen more of england than heathrow airport- but remember loving almost every ale i tried there.

but i'll drink pretty much any beer as long as it's not some chick lemon wheat crap...
& usually don't drink mixed drinks/hard liquor- but love shots of stoli & jagermeister from the freezer(especially in the winter), and a nice gin & tonic.- used to love tequilla- but a bad experience ended that- can only handle it now if mixed in a margarita...
on occasion will pull out the jug of paddy whiskey- & when under the weather- nothing better than a hot whiskey.

You beat me to the suggestion. A list would be helpful in getting an idea for the Tailgate.
