My wife and I will be making our first visit to the Cottage on May 14. Per the club's website, tickets go on sale on 16 February.

Before I actually purchase my seats, I would like some info on where the best section is (ie, best atmosphere, etc.).

Thanks in advance for all your help!

    Hello and Welcome!

You have two choices then Captdj...either the Stevenage rd stand towards the middle of the field and anywhere but upfront.

    Or...

The Hammersmith End, try to get in the middle of the stand and a bit higher for better atmosphere.

AM, where are your seats for the Charlton match? I'll be over from DC for that game and have a seat in Section BL of the Stevenage Rd. Stand.

Me and the three other yanks will be in the HammyEnd section 6...

I personally wanted Stevenage rd. stand but we couldn't get 4 seats in a row there. Maybe we'll meet up prematch or something...

Sounds good. I was in the Riverside stand for the West Brom game. Not a lot of atmosphere. I'm hoping the Stevenage Rd. Stand is better.

I was in the Stevenage rd stand for the Liverpool match in October and the atmosphere was unbeliebable. No worries...you'l get enough!

    Got my tickets!!!

Thanks for all your help folks. I just purchased my tickets online for the match against Norwich on 14/05/2005. Very easy and straightforward.

My wife and I will be sitting in the Stevenage Rd Stand Lower, Block BL, Row FF, Seats 30-31. I assume this is the 5th row. If anyone has ever sat near here, feel free to offer your perspectives of these seats.

If any Yanks are gonna be going to this match let me know and maybe we can meet up or you can pay a visit at half-time.

    Thanks again,
    Chris

I was in AL, Row EE for the West Brom match in January and was pretty happy with the seats. You will be slightly closer to midfield and one row back, but I suspect the view will be similar to what we had. It was tough to see the action in the far end, but it was great when it was right in front of us. We were about 10 yards away from the guys taking corners and the only goal of the match, Papa's header, happened in our end. With a little luck, the action will be right in front of you. Have a great trip!

    Cheers,
    Martin

Those tickets are pretty good, especially if their Row 5. There should also be some good atmosphere as well. If you need any info about prematch pubs or walks, just let us know.

Anyone going to be attending the Spurs game on the 26th of Feb?
I was able to secure tickets through Fulham before they went on sale to the public by telling them (per American Mikes recommendation) that I was a Yank coming across to see a game and this was the only one I could get to.
FYI - I was informed by the Fulham ticket office that they allowed for a number of tickets for international fans to purchase before making them available to the general public. This may work for home games as well.

I am very happy that you got tickets and am jealous that you are going to be there. I know many fans who are going so the atmosphere should be great...and it should be even better if Fulham is doing well.

Enjoy and let us know how it goes!!!! COYW's.

RE: Re: RE: Re: Got my tickets!!!

Hi. I'm trying to get 3 tickets for the March 5th game. The Fulham website is offering me Row O in Section Z of the Riverside stand, or Row B in section 5 of the Hammersmith end. Which would people recommend?

Also, is it possible to sit in both places, or will people be standing? I have a cousin with a hip problem, so he may not want to be in a spot where we have to stand all match.

    Thanks in advance.

I will be in the Hammy End, Section, Row 17 or something like that for the same match. It will be my first match at the Cottage. I hear there is more singing and such in the Hammy End, but I cannot tell you that from first hand experience. I would go with the hammy end. I believe you can sit down and such. However, there are some others on the board who might know a little more who have been there.

Thanks. If anyone else can chime in, particularly about the standing/sitting situation, that'd be great.

I wouldn't worry about people standing much during the match if you sit in section Z of the Riverside stand. I was there for the West Brom match and there wasn't much in the way of atmosphere. I think the fans in the Hammersmith end tend to be a bit more passionate. I'll actually be in the Stevenage Road stand for the March 5th match and am really looking forward to it.

For atmosphere I would suggest the hammersmith end...which will allow you to also sit. If you want a less roudy crowd, sit in the Riverside stand, you won't be standing much in the Riverside stand so that may be good for your cousin.
