    This is what Coleman said.

    WTF

Transfer window colsed with those defenders. Coleman shouldnt be managing a club shop. The defense is horrible. Then you got Boca at LB. HES A CENTRAL DEFENDER.Then you loan your only other LB. So in January transfer window Fulham get 0 players.

I understand the frustration as we did need another player or two to add some depth, but in looking at the whole picture, we lost none of our big guns and that is massive. We still have Boca, Edwin and Steed. That is a victory for the club.

Plus, why should we spend money now when we can use a bigger sum in the summer and really get some quality, well thought out, signings.

Fulham needed 2 defenders.Steed is here because he got injured. Boa still talks about being at another club and VDS says that if he got a call from Wenger or Fegerson he would probably not be at Fulham. Fulham didnt do well in the transfer window. Coleman has said that he would like to bring in some players maybe 1 or 2. He said he had some money. So he should of got a couple of defenders. Fulham have a bad defense. the defense makes too many mistakes.Fulham are 9 points away from 6th place. If Fulham could of got a good left back and move Boca to central defense they could of made a run at the UEFA Cup spot.Tottenham have got like 3 players. Newcastle did what they needed to by buying a couple of defenders. Southampton are trying to get some players same with West Brom and Palace.

Well said Mike. I do not think it is wise to buy someone just for the sake of buying someone. As I have said many times, teams usually overpay for players in January so we do not need to spend some bad money getting a mediocre player when we could save the cash and build the squad in the Summer. Have faith in the decisions the club is making. It is not so simple to sign quality players. There is a lot that goes into it.

It is easy for you to say what is good and bad for the club, but this is not a video game, this is the real thing. Yes we needed some players and no we did not get any, but who is to say there were quality players out there within our budget?

Cookie said he had some money, but we do not know how much he was talking about. I would have liked to see us buy a player or two, but it was not to be.

As for Steed, Boa and EVS, you are wrong. Who cares about what they are saying about their futures right now. The fact that we signed them to extensions means they will not leave on Bosman Free Transfers. Even if they do leave, the club will have get something for them.

And last but not least, you make it seem like it is so easy to climb the table to 6th. Climbing from 18th to 13th is much easier than 13th to 6th. To say a player or two coming to the team could put us in a European spot is not an accurate statement. For you a European place is what you want, but this is not your club and you are not the one paying the wages and transfer fees. I think Fulham's bad start has them hoping to survive relegation, which looks likely now, and regrouping in the summer. I know you do not like that, but when making comments and such about the club, be realistic. This is not FIFA 2005 or Football Manager 2005 either.

I never said that it was easy to get in a UEFA Cup spot. I said if we got a good LB Fulham could of made a run at the UEFA Cup spot. No it wouldnt be easy. They are 9 points away from 6th. They are closer to UEFA Cup than they are relegation. Most managers want to get to Europe. Its not just me that wants to get to Europe its probably most FFC Supporters and every team within 9 points of UEFA Cup.

Its not really that unrealistic to say that Fulham should of got a good LB.Thats what Fulham needed was a LB. There were quality players out there for Fulham to get and Thatcher was one of them.Bernard was out there. Babyaro was out there. There were some quality players.

Maybe I am wrong but I think that the club has to look BEYOND this season.

Keeping their core of stars makes them a good club for next. Having the finances and opportunity to add some quality defenders will do nothing but help.

To be honest, I am worried about the intensity of their performances, there just is no consistency on the pitch. One match they play really well and the next they look awful. What gives? Is it the coaching?

Yes, those are decent players, but who is to say that these players wanted to play for us and whether we could even pay the wages they would be requesting. I think that is one of the reasons we did not go after these players. At clubs like Newcastle and Chelsea the weekly wages a player makes are much more than at Fulham.

Look, I want Fulham to make it to the UEFA Cup, but we have to be realistic and think like management would. A new LB would have helped, but the right one was not available for us. We will find one in the summer. We will go at with what we have.

It would be easy for a manager under pressure to make some panic buys to save his skin, so I respect CC for not going that direction. Having said that, maybe I am giving the club too much credit...I am disappointed we did not get our hands on Mido or one of the established Dutch players who seem to want to come to the EPL (ie Van Brommel etc) or Bernard (newcastle), Balde (Celtic), Ferguson (Blackburn) who all seem to want to leave their respective clubs.

Making the UEFA Cup is realistic.Fulham is 9 points behind Charlton,LFC,and Boro. Fulham play all 3 of these clubs still.Fulham did do a great job in keeping their players. Thats one thing that Coleman did right in the transfer window.Fulham still got the talent to make a run at UEFA Cup or FA Cup qrts but, it would of been good to bring in a player or 2 to help the team.

I've been accused of being a cottager before, but the police could not prove anything.
