I am about to start reading the book, Fever Pitch. I am guessing it will be great. The movie is so good though. For any of you Footie fans who have not seen it, you must see it soon!

I read the book first and then saw the movie. Both were great but I liked the book better. It is something a true fan of any team can relate to and there is a lot of background on Arsenal and English football that the movie just couldn't cover. Hornby is an outstanding writer and the passion just comes through on every page. I guess the movie was never much of a hit but I loved it and thought Colin Firth was dynamite. The Farrelly Brothers are doing a remake based on the Red Sox with Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore. Coming out in the spring - they had to go back and change the ending when the Sox won the Series.

I like the Red Sox and all that, but it bothers me that this movie is being made. Drew Berrymore and Jimmy Fallon? Come on, what is that? I mean the movie is called Fever Pitch, about soccer. It would be like calling an American Football movie, "Gridiron Greats," and the movie is about soccer. Makes no sense. It also bothers me that people probably will not know or care to know where the original script/book/movie came from. I am gonna boycott this one.
