    Some of mine.

Lock Stock and two smoking barrels
    Snatch (same movie basically)
    Swingers
    Made (same movie basically)
    Zoolander
    Napoleon Dynamite
    Gladiator

Re: RE: What are your Favorite Movies?

Well, I am bad with movies. I can talk music and sports with you all night, but in terms of movies I am bad.
Though, I would list the following as some of my favorites:

    American History X
    Dead Poet's Society
    Fever Pitch
    Primal Fear
    Major League

I will try to think of some others.

    my top 10

ok- here goes- off the top of my head- sure i'm forgetting some of my favorites...... in no particular order

blazing saddles, blues brothers, pulp fiction, caddyshack, fargo, platoon, 1st star wars movie, aliens, something about mary, severn samurai

johnny cash not only a terrific singer- but has some solid pic's with lock stock & 2 smoking barrels, & swingers both being excellent choices & if not already listed may have made my list. nap dynamite was good fun but nowhere near a top 10 for me.

bottom 10 i'd have to think about some- but dead poets society would make it for sure(sorry chicago tom)- along with footloose(girlfriend made me go see it- think i forced her to see dawn of the dead or something similar weekend before...) & pretty much any movie siskel & ebert labeled "a slice of life"... **** oh- had to edit post- saw major league on chicago tom's list- that was a great movie- if not my top 10- maybe the top 20 for sure... ***

I saw this a week or so ago and it was pretty good. Nick Cage is great in this movie.
I saw Mystic River the other night as well and thought it was great.

    Mulholland Drive?

Maybe i'm a complete doofus, but there is a lot of stuff I do not understand about that movie. Namely the little guy behind the dumpster. Those chicks were pretty hot though.

Most any baseball movie I love. Bull Durham, Major League, Field of Dreams. One that a lot of people haven't seen but is fantastic is 61* its about the stupid yankees though and Maris trying to break Ruth's record.

I have watched Mulholland Drive I think 10 times and I can try to answer your question, though it is only me making a guess.

I think most of the movies are fragments of a dream with the second half abruptly turning into reality.

The guy behind the dumpster ends up with that blue box with the key. The key is later left on the coffee table at the blonde's apartment. Which symbolizes that her plan to murder the brunette had been done. At least that is what I thought.

I do love Naomi Watts though.

other recent movies i thought were good- shaun of the dead- & team america world police. both have great soundtracks as well. - national treasure was kinda weak, the incredibles was a good family flick.

oh... hbo hi def. showed underworld the other night- all i have to say about the movie is 2 hours of kate beckinsale wearing vinyl....

wouldn't say underworld the greatest movie by a long shot- if you like vampires & warewolves.. it's ok.. kate beckinsale is worth the price of admission though....

can't believe i haven't seen kill bill- i like most of quentin tarentino(sp?)'s movies- pulp fiction was a great movie- jackie brown was worth watching also,

took kids to see riding giants before christmas- it was great... lots of old surfing footage- worth a rental for sure...
