Ok, well if we're gonna post insane liberal rantings...here is some conservative rantings by an equally stupid pundit.

Michael Savage and why the US should give no aid to the countries

Global warming..probably a problem, but has nothing to do with the tsunami.

    A bomb...absurd (i'm assuming your independent idiot)

and then an article from the guardian an extremely liberal paper. it states that we spend more on war than we did on aid, which is the case. then goes on its rant its been on for 5 years now

Re: RE: Moonbat & Idiotarian Digest!

    Thank you!

That's my point and you can easily see in real time how Monbiot's world works!

The UN is plugging away full steam with their Assessment and Coordination team building... holding meetings and making press statements on how the US / Aus /Japan effort is so inefficient.

But has anyone with a UN credential toted a single bale or box of goods?

Monbiot's world consists of more employment for academes and political wonks to write papers and pat themselves on the back while the lesser lights do the grunt work. Withholding the appropriate "Shipping and Handling" charges, of course. (Can you dare mention 'oil for food"?)

Central planning being so very efficient, dontcha know!

I would like to think I am educated and up on world events, but in all honesty, I do not understand a lot of Petty's posts at all. I think they are going over my head. Perhaps I need to brushen up my vocabulary or something, but I think I am missing most of the points he is trying to make. Now, I will continue on and enjoy everyone else's posts on this topic. Keep going, it is fun reading......when I understand it.

You quote monbiot like he is the voice of the liberal left. first of all...he's british and european liberals are much different than american liberals. Secondly he writes for the guardian, like comparing american conservatives to limbaugh.

But as far as the tsunami, the UN has dropped off many boxes in the affected areas.

The UN is simply a paper organization, those who are proud to be a part of it obviously are more than willing to do what they are capable of, in some case over extend themselves in a humane effort to endure the plight of human suffering. Others countries just oblige cuz they are expected to, more of a media image they have to keep to seem effective. If there is one thing Pettyfog and I agree on is that the UN is not nearly as effective as advertised, much like the American military. But they try to look good doing it while dodging scandal.

All I got to say is, at least people arent ignoring it, its a devasting reality, and some where free of labels between what is known as liberal and what is known as conservative is a even more dangerous idiot.
