    The Reds.

    Reasons:
    1) Hometown team.
    2) Grew up watching the Cubs, but they don't play as many games on WGN, and these days, they're a bunch of punks anyway who don't deserve to wear the same uni's as Ryno, the Hawk, Gracie, Sutcliffe, and Shawon (not to mention Billy and Ernie). And their broadcasters suck. Plus, I don't want to be associated with any group of fans that would throw beer on one of their own, and harrass him in the papers, and drive him out of town just for trying to do what any fan would do at any game on any day, which is of course, to catch a foul ball hit right to him!! Sorry, but that guy that did not "cause" the Cubs to lose that game. I think the botched ground ball by the shortstop several pitches later played a MUCH bigger role.
    3) Supporting the Reds is very Fulhamish.

True story...I asked my wife the other day if Baltimore was famous for cookies, like Botson is famour for beans and Philly is famous for Campbells Soup & cheese steaks.

She looked puzzled and said, "No, why?" My answer...well isn't that why they are called the Baltimore Orios? My wife is now seeking legal advice for a divorce on the grounds of gross stupidity. I haven't heard her laugh that hard in a while.

Mets of course...how could a fulham fan living in NY follow the Yankees? That would just be wrong...supporting the baseball equivalent of Chelsea.

I am... as is American Mike both a Fulham and Yankee supporter...

tradition is the common element here boys...

Keep in mind, the Yankees may buy talent, but it has never helped them win...

When i grew up the Yankees were terrible and the Mets bought everyone...

Lets get this right though, I grew up a Met fan (due to an obsessed brother-in-law) but then lost interest in all sports, except for my own, once I got to college and was finally being paid to Jump (track and field) and play footy (soccer!).

Now I do root for the Yankees but also want to see the Mets succeed.

Bring on the torment and the ridicule.

You root for both? How disgusting, it's akin to rooting for both Chelsea and Fulham. You have to choose one or the other.

P.S. Excuse me? Paid to jump and play soccer in college? I hope you went to one of the military academies. Unless, of course, you meant you got a sholarship for school for jumping and soccer abilities.

Ok, well its coming down to the last few weeks in the AL East, Central and Wildcard. Angels are going to take the west.

So of the Yankees, Sox, Red and White and Indians...who do you guys want to see in?

Yankees started chanting where's Roberts after he dislocated his elbow...no class. I'd love to see that smirk that's been on Red Sox fans' faces since last October get slapped off though. The white sox can't even fill their stadium in a pennant chase against a team that's only 1.5 behind them, so although I like what they've done with their team, their fans don't deserve it.

So by default, I guess Cleveland?

The choices in the National League aren't much better...Padres are going to end up with a barely .500 record, don't deserve it. Braves who always just waste a spot by winning the NL east and then losing the first round. The Cardinals with their napoleon complex fixation with the cubs or the Astros...bleh

I am pulling for the White Sox, but my hair is turning grey and my heart is suffering because of the choke job the team has taken part in the last two months.

At the beginning of August the Sox had a comfortable 15 game lead in the AL Central, but that lead is now a mere 2.5 games. I am nervous they will blow this lead and even might miss out on the playoffs. I have faith though that they will make it in.

In the AL East I am pulling for the Yankees to beat the Red Sox. I am not much a fan of either team, but I want the Yankees to win this season.

All in all, this last week and a half will be out of control. I do not think I will be able to handle it.

Hopefully the Braves will clinch their division soon so they can begin resting up for their annual postseason flop.

Tribe all the way baby!!! Best record since the break I believe. If Chicago blow their lead I think there will be a run on shotguns for personal use in the windy city!!!

Oddly enough, other than the few thousand Sox fans that are here, not a lot of people care. This is a Cubs town so a lot of Cub fans are enjoying this flop by the White Sox.

If i remember correctly, the cubs had an equally disasterous and embarassing flop back in 69 or something

The White Sox flop this season would be more monumental. I think the Cubs pissed away a 7 or 8 game lead in September. The White Sox would piss that kind of a lead away and then the other 7 or 8 games in August they pissed away. It would be like having two straight 1969 Septembers for the White Sox to finish the 2005 season.
