I have a gig this afternoon, and will be scouting for new gigs afterwards, so I'll be watching this on DVR. No chatroom for this little black duck. I'm with the Senator, though; no injuries!!!!!!!!
Probably the best performance of the three send-off games. Got the W. And Jozy found his mojo again. :banana-dance:
Great match by Jozy, Bradley, Johnson, Cameron and -- yes, I'm saying this on FUSA -- Jermaine Jones. The partnership with Rastaman SLC looks like working. The best thing about the match was the constant attacking intent. How good was Jozy? Well, it wasn't coincidental that Nigeria only woke up when he was subbed off. I think we HAVE found our starting XI against Ghana, with Zusi, Mixx, and Johanssan off the bench.
Great crowd in Jacksonville, and good to get 90 minutes in what should be similar conditions. Would expect that starting XI a week from tomorrow, Bedoya and Zusi will probably go down to the wire for that spot. The back 4 looked much better w/Beas in, him and Fabian going forward are going to be a handful for anyone. God forbid Cameron gets a couple yellows or a red because he does have a little bit of a bull in a china shop style that worries me. Funny how a tap in does wonders for a striker's confidence, the second one was a beauty and Bradley's pass was sublime.
I couldn't agree more Don. When I first saw the line up I was concerned about a possible defensive void from Dempsey on the wing but putting Jones and Beckerman in front of the back four allowed Dempsey to remain high for most of the match in a more attacking position. Bradley and Johnson were brilliant in attack but it was the pairing of Beckerman and Jones that gave them creative freedom. The first goal was a thing of beauty and Jozy looked like a predator on the second. I also think it was no coincidence that Beasler had a much better match with Beasley as his running mate.
