No kidding but I was planning on the same tweet. It's pretty obvious when you think about it. No one would have noticed mine so well done Mike Magee. :bow-yellow:

The other great thing about that galaxy - Union game was the LA fans did a huge tifo of Arena's quote, "if we have 23 players better than Landon Donovan then we have a chance to win the world cup" AND the fact that Mo Edu also scored.

It's gotten better for sure so hope the league doesn't over expand and water down the player pool. Have you been able to go see a Toronto FC match? That stadium looks to have a great atmosphere.

there's a lot of discussion about the relative strength and weakness of MLS on the season thread, not to mention last season's.

I have not. And, I'm running out of time to get down there.

    Cheers,

It'll be interesting to see how Lampard will be welcomed in NYC, when the inevitable story reappears about how a drunken Lampard and fellow drunk John Terry publicly taunted American tourists stranded in London after 9/11. Our old friend Steve M19, must be sick to his stomach about Lampard playing here.

wow, I didn't know about that little incident. I have to think the deal will fall through as a result. Unless of course Sheikh Mansour throws a bunch of money around NYC

Here's an example of what's out there: the "He" is John Terry.

Whoa - that's a way to put a marker down. Let's hope his legs are still intact when they begin play, but still, that's cool for the league.

Mo, reference to the great film noir 'LA Confidential' (highly recommend renting, but not with the kids).

DC United keep winning. They don't look convincing while doing it, but they're doing it. EJ finally scored, albeit from the spot. And Hamid is keeping them on top in the Eastern Conference.

Apart from Hamid DC did everything they could to give up the equalizer at the end of the match but Hamid refused to let it happen.

I watched the 2nd half of the Timbers v. Sounders match on Sunday. 60K+ in the stadium and a fantastic atmosphere to boost the tv viewing experience.
    Also, Dempsey with a goal.
A bit of the king of movie soundtracks, as this is it:

I admire a coach who is willing to invest in youth and Petke sounds deeply invested. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
