During the 8 or 10% of the time he was actually available to play over the last two seasons, he was quite good. The thing is, he's very very old now, and his knees are even older. Let him go.

I can't wait until we field him and Karagounis against the Swansea speedsters!

Don't call it a comeback, he's been here for years:

"has resulted in speculation" -- In other words. "If I say it's possible, then 'resulted in speculation' is accurate."

Yeah, don't see it happening. If he was fit and good enough, he would have been playing somewhere else already. And I can't see Magath adding to the squad after making comments that it was too big.

Class player, but is there any truth to the rumor he hurt his knee walking off the podium after signing his contract?

No, but he did pick up a doozy of a papercut that will leave him out for 3-4 weeks.

At this point, I hope he is fit. And all kidding aside, if Diarra is close to fit, he can help, if even for reduced minutes, by the club not conceding goals.

Given Magath's penchant for throwing crazy line-ups out there, is anybody thinking he just might get a start against Everton?

If we were worried about how long it would take Dempsey to find his form, then I don't see why we shouldn't feel the same about Diarra. He's much, much further removed from his last Prem match.

Felix does like throwing poo at the wall and seeing what sticks though, so we'll probably see him sooner rather than later.

I think he'll last a match and a half before he breaks down. Of course, that'll give him a bigger contribution than MetroGlue

How long does it take for Magath to determine whether a player is ready for a relegation fight or not?

Though I'm not convinced that it's not just a bs argument for him to throw around.

this isn't surprising considering Fulham have been playing high schoolers of late

It does reek a bit of desperation. Of course, on a pay for play contract, there's zero risk. We have no way of knowing what kind of player Diarra is after all of these injuries, but I guess there could be some reward. I'm a bit surprised by the outright optimism around his return on other sites, but in a season devoid of things to get excited about, anything will suffice I guess.

He has the skills, but its so unfortunate with hes injury track, allthough if hes up for it and can play some matches for us, it can be good for us.
