It's interesting that both Brentford and Southend won today, the former 3-2 with the winning goal by Marcelo Trotta and the latter 0-1 with the only goal by Cauley Woodrow.

I'm hoping we'll see one of those lads called back to enrich our depleted striking corps. If Curbs is, indeed, tasked with getting our champion youngsters into the first team scene, Trotta at least would be a great start.

Trotta's name has been bounced around for a few seasons now, but he hasn't received a real shot in the first team. If Berba stays "injured" then I think his time should come. Still, maybe there's a reason that we don't see as to why he never gets an extended run in the first team.

Trotta netted another goal for brentford but it is league one. The offal is reporting Dan burn has been recalled from Birmingham. Looks like he will at least get the chance to prove himself on the training ground next to who is currently starting and whomever we bring in during the transfer window

The Brits are hilariouis with the loan thing. They want a young player to go to the second or third tier to get playing time, but when they do well at that level many of them take that as proof that the player will never do well in the Prem. Trotta is only the latest to fall in that category. Seeing ashow we only have TWO real strikers on the team -- Bent and Rodallega -- and neither of them can score, I'd pull Trotta back in a heartbeat.

Trotta would be a good replacement for Bent, sharp, plays off the last man and takes his chances in and around the box very well. Woodrow is very much Fulhams Teddy Sherringham, holds the ball well, brings others into play gives everything covering every part of the pitch and finishes well. Woodrow and Dembele were awesome last season, both bring out the best in each other. I'm just not sure we have the team or system to support Trotta an out and out No 9 one of the reasons I think Bent is generally anonymous when he comes on.

good deal for us. He's a future Fulham captain unless I miss my guess. He was the "on field coach" in the Dallas Cup victory last season.

According to Magath's press conference today Burn is out injured. In addition to the Amorebieta suspension, that's left us with no backup cb's. I believe Grimmer can also play rb, so maybe we'll get a chance to see him play. If nothing else, hopefully he'll get some games after we're mathematically eliminated.
