Hangeland Sky interview

I suspect there's been enough behind-the-scenes drama this season for several volumes. Of course, I doubt we'll ever really hear much of it. I'm just hoping it has a Shyamalan-esque ending.

 

Favorite quote from Brede, about Magath's strict, disciplined, hard working style; 'If it works, it's great'... :shock: Not exactly a ringing endorsement, what he really wanted to add was 'and if it doesn't work, it sucks.'

 

There was a rumor that he and Parker had a hand in getting Meulensteen sacked. No idea how valid that was, if at all. The guy who mentioned it covers the team, but he didn't sound overly confident in it's likelihood. It would be interesting to know what went on behind the scenes down the road at some point.

Maybe it's the differences in culture, but I think this is one area where the British press and the football clubs drop the ball. Having insiders covering the teams and providing more insight and transparency would only increase interest, imo. And maybe help keep things less shady? Clayton, Sal Paol and their ilk haven't hurt the NFL. If anything, they've increased it's popularity. Just look how much time is spent covering the NFL Offseason these days.
