I still don't know why Duff keeps getting called and Dejagah keeps getting left off. At least Kasami is on the bench.

WTH Sacha? Total brain cramp at wrong time. Gut wrenching loss when it looked like a point was about to be earned.

Admittedly listened to United and Liverpool games from 5,000 miles away over the murky pond, but it sounds like we genuinely went out with a game plan to win both matches. Before these two games it sounded like we'd thrown the towel in. I feel a lot more confident that at least we'll make a fist of it. 12 games to go, 4 points adrift (plus goal difference). This is NOT OVER!!!!

Its a bad time to being throwing points away but much like Westchester I am feeling a little more like Fulham might make a run down the stretch than I was two matches ago.

Hurts to think that we potentially left five points on the table last few matches, but yeah we've been playing alright. Strange to see us doing well without Hangeland in the lineup, think he gets his regular spot back with Burn and Heitinga playing/

Cant believe there has been no talk about how this is a foul. Suarez is a thug among other things.

I can't see the picture for some reason but I assume you're referring to the clash with Stekelenburg. It's a 50/50 ball, so no foul. Good hustle by both players and bravery by Stek for going in head first.

I'm glad some of you have a renewed optimism, but I'm not seeing it. The effort is better, but we're in a relegation fight because of our inability to defend. So what's changed? We've parked the bus twice and given up 5 goals. And for the most part, the reason is because we've made the exact same mistakes we've been making all year. We've sagged too far back on defense later in games and we've failed to close down on midfielders, allowing them too much space to take shots at our net from just outside the box. As a result, we've given up an inordinate number of goals from deflected shots.

I get that we were in the matches, or at least came closer than we had been, but I don't see either match as points dropped. If United sees off that match, like most teams do, we lose. Continuing to take potshots at our net and giving us the ball back in stoppage time was abject stupidity. When they held it, we were barely chasing. Against Liverpool, we were only ever in that game because of a horrid own goal. That we gave it back with an equally horrid penalty seemed more justified than misfortune. I don't know. I didn't see a plan to win and I don't see good football. I see better football offensively and much more effort. But the end result and the mistakes are the same as they've been all year.

I can't wait for the WBA match to see if it translates better against other teams in the bottom half of the table. I don't think it will, because those teams defend better and are good at mucking up the game and making it hard to find any rhythm on offense. I also think we're in a bad spot because most of the teams we'll play will only need 1 point. Liverpool and United needed wins. Teams above us, as long as they're out of the bottom 3 spots, only need to keep us below them. We'll see what happens.

Sorry about the picture. It didnt prove anything anyway other than to show how recklessly Suarez went toward a guys head with his foot. Ag, even if it was a 50/50 ball, I dont think that has anything to do with it. Fouls are committed all the time on 50/50 balls. It was careless or reckless play, both of which are fouls. When the goalkeeper is going to ground for a ball you cant go in full speed to the point where you cant pull back if you're going to kick him in the face. Most players dont do that.
