Honestly, I don't think this can happen soon enough for me. I realize the "talent" he's supposed to possess, but so tired of the complaining and 50% effort.

Will be happy to be rid of him. It would be great if we could recoup the transfer fee paid.

As I like to say to some of the opposing team's more obnoxious fans from points up north who frequent my Carolina Hurricanes home ice(tongue in cheek, of course), "The bus leaves every day, and don't let the door hit you in the a#$% on the way out!"
I will support any player regardless of natural talent if he, simply put...hustles. This player does not know the meaning of the word....
We WILL be a better TEAM without him.

Must be the outstanding play Berba has produced this season that has Barca chomping at the bit

This makes me soooo happy. Forreals. Like jump up and down excited. Getting rid of berbatov might be the best thing this team can do right now.

Would be easy to jump all over him, but his contract is up and his agent is trying to drum up some interest. On the other hand, the best way to get a lucrative new deal is is to prove it on the pitch. Winning cures all, so if the team were to get a few W's and in the process he were to find the back of the net, I think magically he'll be "happy" again. That said if he truly would prefer the prestigious Turkish league  rather than stay and fight it out like a man, than don't let it door hit you on the way out.

He's high maintenance, both literally and figuratively. The question is who would want him, and how much could we get for him. His game is not an asset to a club fighting relegation.

The relationship Rene has with Berbatov must be pretty good. When Berba plays with that kind of commitment there is simply no player out there we could reasonably expect to sign in Jan. that is better. The pass to send Kaca on his way was sublime. The next month will be very telling, on what course of action the club should take, but he keeps playing like the last 2 games and he'll go through a stretch where he will score in more than a few goals.

If he continues to play like he has the past 2 matches, I hope we can keep him. I really don't know how much of a market there is for him to be honest. Hopefully the club are putting a plan in place to get in a suitable replacement if the rumors turn out to be true.

My two concerns in this area are:
    1) how much of his performance is RM and how much is him trying to draw interest?
    2) I still don't trust him not to let frustration get the better of him when we struggle offensively and I'm not sure I trust him in a relegation fight.

Lots of papers are claiming Arsenal will offer 2 mil for Berbatov. I say reject first offer and let them offer more.

If Rene can get his best out of him then I think we have to keep him. I don't see us being offered an amount that makes up for losing his talents. Of course I don't know his wages and how they impact the situation. Rene got two good games out of him. Yesterday he was sloppy but he'd just come back from "injury"
