Anyone from Chicago still roaming around these parts?

Will be out there next week and contemplating a trip to the Globe for the Bolton match.

Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, but I'm down in Miami now. The Globe is always a fantastic place to watch a match though. Great environment with the walls covered in scarves (from everywhere- they've got a Tooting & Mitcham scarf), TVs showing multiple games, friendly bartenders and a great beer selection (or tea or coffee, if it's too early for you), and you'll almost always run into nice people to chat with. I miss watching matches there. Hope you have a great time.

Yes, and I will be here for the Bolton match before leaving Tuesday night for the Man Utd match and the SW6 Derby. I will wear a fawn covert coat with a velvet collar and the Europa League lapel pin I nicked from UEFA in Hamburg on the day. See you at 08:50 next Saturday.

sfm - Thanks for coming out. It was a pleasure meeting you and happy we got to see a solid performance.

Have a great time over there and hoping you bring some good luck to the Cottage and Bridge this week.

I'm coming up to Chicago for Christmas and Boxing Day. I want to watch at the Globe. I'm a usual down in Atlanta at the Brewhouse Cafe but I'd like directions to the Globe. I'm going to be near Humboldt Park and Garfield Park - a little east of both. Thanks in advance.

Coach - afraid all I can provide is help with public transportation as I never had a car when I lived in Chicago. The Globe is just a couple blocks west off the Irving Park stop on the Brown Line. If you can get yourself into the Loop, you can get a Brown Line train and it's about 20 minutes or so from there.

You actually may be better off taking a bus from where you are, but unfortunately can't provide much assistance on routes. The CTA site should get you sorted out. http://www.transitchicago.com/

I have a car and I'm 2-3 miles away. Will be there for Boxing Day match against Chelsea. Anyone else?
