Up to darkest Yorkshire on Sunday.

This game will be on Fox SportsHD on Sunday, but tape delayed. It'll be played at 0700 Central and the television broadcast will be at 1100 Central. I'm going to try and catch the game via GJ live and then watch the replay after church.

I can remember when Sheffield U was a top flight powerhouse [along with Wednesday] and Fulham was bouncing between the 2nd and 3rd tiers [along with Luton]. These days, United is suffering in their own relegation struggle.

It would be nice to think our kids can carry the day.

I should send a good luck card to the Blades co-signed by Carlos Tevez.

 , Something tells me Neil Warnock might not find the humor in that.

Just noticed the schedule on the front page, "The FA Cup with Budweiser" Kind of sucks that people around the world think when it comes to beer that Bud is the king in the US.

Budweiser may be the king of beers, but it made an A-hole out of me. :D

I'm seeing that the game is live at 8am EST on Fox Sports2 and Deportes, the former a channel I was unaware existed. Regardless, YAY TV!

Anywho, considering the club has a mightily important away EPL match just two days later*, I've got a feeling Rene will field a Youth/Pro-Am team. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if Rene didn't even show up like Hans Backe did with the US Open Cup a few years back.

*Seriously, who scheduled this? I get that the EPL and FA are two entities that often work against one another when it comes to televising events, but no one at the club bothered to petition either to have either game moved? Such a sham.

Getting off topic here, but I was going to disagree with you until I found this...

Apparently Blue Moon is the king of beers in the US.

Back on topic... I'm not sure that I'll make GJ or the chat room for a 6am kick-off. 8am usually works perfectly, but the kid doesn't even get up until 7am on the weekends.

I hope that Rene does throw a bunch of youngsters out there with some second tier seniors. Give them a little more significant playing time. A victory would be nice but I would rather focus on Swansea.

Wow, that chart is crazy - is it based on sales alone? I'm surprised to see Yuengling in that many locations, but whenever I'm back east I usually have one b/c it's easy to find and I enjoy its taste*. It's not easy at all to find in Cal. Not surprised to see Corona as #1 out here, but it got me humming: "I only had a Corona, five cent deposit."

    * in its category of beers

Oh man, this is a thread about the FA Cup...so, Senderos sucks, Berbatov is lazy and Dempsey falls over too often. Whew, took care of that gaff. Gonna reward myself with a Stiegl on a job well done, or a Bud "heavy."

Thanks, Timmy; I must have missed that first time around. I'll be catching it LIVE on the telly.

It would be nice if there were starts for Arthurworry, Christensen, Dalla Valle, Tancovic, Dembele, etc.

A larger question for me is do you start Mr. Burn again? I dunno. Kinda mixed feelings about it. He earned his deserved recall from his performances in this competition, but now?

What say ye my fellow Fulhamites?

But he's full of 21 year old energy! And like Boom Boom Geoffrion used to say on the Flames cable telecasts about Atlanta's then goaltender, "Ohhh, dat Da-nee Boo-shar! Da more puck he stop, da better he get!"

That SLATE piece is an ad for a hangover cure, based on a survey of about 5,000 people and not at all "scientifically" conducted. They were just looking for good, fun sound bites and images for their ad campaign.

Like it or not, Bud Light is far and away the most popular beer in America, with more than 269 million cases sold in 2012. That is more than double the second place brands. Budweiser and Coors Light are neck-and-neck for the second best selling beer, with roughly 101 million cases sold each. The combined sales volume of Bud Light and Bud exceed the next 5 brands combined. They may not be your personal favorites (certainly are not mine), but Bud Light and Budweiser are still the kings in the U.S. Regional brands and craft beers are making inroads, but the vast majority of the beer consumed in America is still "macro" brews from the corporate giants.

I would sit the majority of our players. Swansea is more important and I think we can get something there. As we saw with Wigan last year, a good cup run does not mean survival. Maybe we can find another quality player like we did with Dan Burn when he started at Norwich.

Found myself listening to Football Weekly extra last night at the gym and one of the duders on the pod (a SheffU fan) mentioned that they find success when teams aren't in their faces and lay off a bit (which doesnt really happen in the rough/tumble League One)

Well, I'm pretty certain that's our defensive strategy.

    This could get bad.

JP, not going to lie, I drink more Bud Light than any other beer so I'm not a micro-beer only snob, just was really surprised that Budweiser is sponsoring this particular sporting event.

Will agree with the others that if I could only choose one match to get a result in that I'd pick Swansea because of the standings. However, let's see the kids mixed in w/the Karagounis types and expect a good performance. It bares repeating that Sheffield United is sitting in 21st place and in the relegation zone in LEAGUE 1 and have lost or drawn 8 of their 13 home league matches (including losses to such juggernauts as Milton-Keynes, Gillingham coupled w/draws against the like of Walsall and Crawley Town  ). There is absolutely NO reason why Fulham can't go up there and minimally earn a replay.

With all the Belgian players in the league, it had to happen.
