I have not been around much. I have recently come out to a lot of friends and have been dealing with that.

I want everybody here to know that I am transgender. I am taking hormones. I did not want to make a big deal about this and that is why I don't post in the Facebook group or here much. I am going to start to post more. My name is Nicole or Nikki. I just figured I would say this since everybody knows. Thanks for all of the messages and support, I hope nobody has a problem with this.Love you guys.

I take it as a huge compliment that you would care enough about us to let us know. We're a ragged bunch of individuals, but we'll support you all the way.

Thank you for sharing and all the best to you. No problem here (as long as you continue to support Fulham!).

    Best wishes going forward, Vegas.

Thanks guys. I have pretty much come out to everybody so felt like I would come out here too considering this was the first online community I was a part of and would like to start posting more.

And I will always love Fulham.

I'm just relieved to see you posting on here and that all is okay. I consider all the regulars on this site like family and you are no exception, no matter what. Love, respect and looking forward to you posting more again. :auto-rally:

Vegas, I'm with HD, glad that this group is a comfortable group for you and you are sharing your story with us. Agree with everyone else that this is a special board and think you will have no problem receiving support from everyone

At least you didn't say you were coming out as a Chelsea fan, then no one on this board would talk to you ever again. :D

But seriously, I have to second and third what everyone else here has said. I'm glad you felt you could share it with us. One of the things I love about FulhamUSA is how friendly everyone is. No matter how different our political views are, where we come from in our point of views, etc, etc we all have a love of Fulham. For the most part we all chose to support Fulham, we were not born into it. We could have chosen a bigger club, but we chose Fulham and that is what binds us no matter what.

Okay... I'm gonna go all 'Dutch Uncle' on this.
Reason: I'm 71. I've had friends and acquaintances in the 'alternative lifestyle community' pretty much all my life. Including a couple in various stages of "trans- "
    I have gay relatives.

I support your effort to find yourself.

But I wonder exactly why we have to 'approve'. And what is has to do with posting on here.
It's none of our business who you are or what you do in your private life, as long as you don't hurt others, {or scare the livestock ;) }.

Remember this... as long as you seek approbation from the world at large, you are never going to be content in your own skin. Hopefully you have family and friends - and realize THEY may have some phobia or another that colors their views - who support your journey and decisions even if they disagree with them, then you are well off.
    Like I say,
I support your effort to find yourself.

But for someone who is suffering from depressive bouts, this is a 2 way street. When you come out, you have to use it as pure catharsis, and take the responses with a large dose of salt. I went through therapy for depression over 15 years ago and concluded it was largely bullshit. I am who I am. You dont have to 'approve' of me for me to like myself, I dont have to approve of you to treat you as a human being.

and, btw... when someone critiques your gender choices.. or 'same sex' choices.. don't let them quote bible verse out of context, like the Westboro Baptist idiots.
Example.. read about Sodom and Gomorrah.. God destroyed them because the inhabitants insisted on imposing their lifestyle choices on others. I dont see gays singled out.

Post away. If I debate you it's based on the issues, not your chosen lifestyle, how you dress or anything else that really doesnt matter to me.

I only posted because I see topics in the Facebook group that I would like to post on, but don't want anybody asking who Nicole is. And, also, I am probably changing my username. Be kind of weird without an explanation. Not seeking out any kind of attention or anything like that. The last thing I want is attention and I can point to news articles as to why it is not good to have attention. But, yeah, I figure we all talk about our personal lives here so here it is.

    Appreciate what everybody said.

Takes a lot guts, and glad to hear from you. Equally happy that you're wanting to post more, you've been missed.

Oh and the Lakers downfall has been fun to watch

Although it hasn't stopped Kobe from making the all-star starting squad.

    See, nothing's changed here :banana-guitar:

Nice to think that the FUSA people are part of the family you want to come out to. Personally, I could care less about anyone's sexual preferences. Now, if you'd come out as a Chelsea supporter, I think that EVERYONE here would be pissed off and some may put out a vendetta.

Take care, stay sane, and COYW.

I don't really have anything else to add, but just wanted to echo what's been stated above. Good to hear from you and thanks for the clarification in the event you do switch usernames.
