Right now it's silly season, but it's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. As long as Jol's around, I see zero chance he'll end up back with Fulham. And now AVB's job is supposedly in jeopardy, and they have allegedly have first dibs on him. Most recent spec is Everton, Guardian trying to start some sh*t by throwing out Newcastle. Oh what fun.

My only interest is this. Which situation helps him help the USMNT the most next summer in Brrra-zeel?

Clint already saved Jol's ample ass once. I don't see a reason why he should do it again. The upside for the Nats is he'd definitely get playing time. The downside is that I question if there's any benefit playing in our crap system. I would like to see the interchange the first time Berbatov were to flap his arms like a coked up chicken and screech at Clint for a less than perfectly laid pass. That might be fun.

I still think the best move for clint is to the Bundesliga. The football they play there is more like what JK wants the USMNT to play, and he has connections there. I don't see him moving to Everton or Fulham or Spurs under any conditions, but we'll see.

Wouldn't it be interesting if he signed at West Ham or Crystal Palace, though.

Oh, and Matt, I want 5 cents for royalties on "ample ass." I remember how you enjoyed my comment from a View a few seasons back, "After the match Paul Robinson should get 'I am Simon Davies' bitch' tattooed across his ample ass."

$50 says Clint slugs him in the face.

I didn't remember that until you mentioned it, but I'll pay the fee. That was one of your better View lines.

Is it still silly season, given the latest "news?" Or is it time to take anything seriously? He'll end up somewhere, and if he can help us get some precious points (as he is in the habit of doing) toward's avoiding relegation, I'm all for it. Let's face it...his most productive period as a professional club player was with Fulham. IN CLINT WE TRUST!
