How does the squad react? The next 5 league games through Jan. 2 sees fixtures against ManUre, Chelski, and the Gooners. In other words this is a MUST win. Bolton has never been the same since Holden's catastrophic injury and sit at the bottom of the table. 3 pts. and the squad gets some breathing space and mid-table standing.

I think we'll win. I just hope it's not another 6-0 joke like QPR. I think that lambasting made us too complacent. Odense should be a good waker-upper.

We win 3-1. No chatroom for me, though. Christmas is keeping the band very busy, plus I have my other volunteer crap. All that while I'm trying to do everything at a more leisurely pace.

I think and hope we win too. But I hope it is 6-0 landslide. I can't take another start of the 2nd half only being up 2-0 against a mediocre side. Let's hope, for this supporter's sanity, Fulham find their goal scoring instincts again.

I say we win this 3-1 too.

If we don't win then we are so screwed with that schedule. I think we win, but it won't be easy. 2-1.

This one's simple. We win, period, or Herr Jol gets sacked in the tunnel.

Definitely a must win given our past two disappointing performances. Hopefully Odense was a wake-up call and we breakout offensively.

    I'm optimistically predicting a 3-1 win

If memory serves, tomorrow will be four years to the day of Lawrie Sanchez's last match in charge. Omozusi was sent off in the 90th's minute on his debut, and the resulting injury-time penalty winner (Fulham 0, Bolton 1) had the Putney end singing about being in a Big Sam Wonderland. Tim and I will be at the Globe in Chicago in a few hours watching and hoping that bit of history does not repeat itself.

sfm, I remember that game and if memory serves our boys dominated for the entire match, but somehow didn't score. Cheers to you and Tim, and hopefully you won't be drowning your sorrows.

Will be heading to my In-laws for our Christmas tradition of making tamales, so no chatroom for me this morning.

**Bobby (knee) out, Davies (back) out, Sidders (still recovering from hernia) out.

Stockers in between the sticks and......The Captain is listed in the starting lineup! I'm feeling better, didn't think Murph would be back for a few weeks.

Pretty good turn out for the chat room, a decent win, and 3 points for Fulham. Phew...I feel a little better after last week.

Now I am hoping we can do it again on Wednesday.

What a finish by Ruiz. And a fantastic game for Dempsey as well. Good to get 3 points.

Anybody know why Bolton are so woeful this season? I was certain they were gonna challenge for a Europa League spot come May.

Actually, my friend, I think you got almost everything wrong:

    1. Omozusi was sent off in the Reading match.
    2. The score of Sanchez's last match was Fulham 0 Newcastle 1

By the way, was I the only one who kept wondering why Bolton were wearing Michigan Wolverine's uniforms?

My Lutonian friend is right on one key thing four years ago. We were playing Newcastle at home: Big Sam had moved on in his erstwhile pursuit of the Real Madrid job. And Omozusi, who played well on the whole, gave away the 90th minute penalty but was not sent off. Sanchez was sacked afterwards but they were Geordie and not Lancs voices singing Winterwonderland as it began to snow on the walk back through Bishops Park.

The Reading penalty incidentally was I am afraid from his favourite Ian Pierce the prior season's 0-2 in November. I was at that one as well.

Far better today and fingers crossed for Wednesday night along the Riverside.

Would love to Ruiz more now. Who says you have to try and blast it past the keeper when you get clear one on one? Beautiful chip, very clever and creative, something that's been lacking for quite a while now. And Clint, what else can you say? Time to kick ManUre's butt now....long overdue. And for my money, Zamora's done, might as well keep A.J. out there, too.

Can't believe that I WAS the only one who thought that Bolton's away kit looke like the Michigan Wolverines pointy football uniforms.
