You know it's going bad, when there isn't a match thread yet. Perhaps the overconfidence will seep in and Liverpool will show up flatter than a pancake...wishful thinking. The Scousers haven't been scoring a lot lately, but the tonic for that is showing up at Anfield wearing black and white. Looking forward to seeing the excuses and 'Fulham isshint Real Madrid' quotes from the lump we have masquerading as our manager. Not going to repeat the score I predicted on the tipping thread, but I expect this to be ugly.

Lighting a candle for a Fulhamish result. Which these days means I hope for a 0-0 draw...d'oh!

I would love a nil-nil draw, but we'd have to place all eleven men inside the 18 and have two each whose only role would be to guard Suarez and Sturridge.

I'll be surprised if we have as many shots on net as they have goals.

No reason whatsoever to be optimistic. I'll predict a pedestrian 3-1 win for scousers. If Suarez doesn't get us, Sturridge will. Or Gerrard. We'll get a goal, somehow, due to the home side's indifference.

Maybe if we line the pitch with doggie chew toys we can keep Suarez busy for most of the match.

Liverpool like to overpower their opponents in the first half, get a lead, and then stop their opponents from playing while making little attempt to score themselves in the 2nd half.

So, I'm figuring 4-0, although they're at least 6 goals better than us on an average day for both teams.

Think it'll be 4-0 Pool as well. This probably would have been a good match to play Hughes in the back four, for the added mobility and ability to read the game. Senderos is good, but he's better against bigger, stronger forwards. Suarez and Sturridge are too mobile.

Already had Sturridge and Mignolet on my fantasy side. Added Suarez and named him captain as well. Bit of a new strategy, targeting whoever is playing Fulham.

Shared suffering to commence in the chat room in 3...2...1...

Yet another embarrassing display. No effort, no direction, no heart. 68-32 possession for Liverpool and they outshot us 32-4.

I'm wondering what it's going to take to spur Khan to action and losing faith in his ownership with every passing match. I mean, if the players can't be bothered, the manager can't be bothered, management can't be bothered and the owner can't either...then why the heck should we? I'm a loyal dude, but I get pissed when that is abused.

Hear, hear!!! A little break will be good for us fans. Can the club do something useful during with the break? Like I don't know, fire Jol?

Norwich showed some heart in the 2d half today, especially compared to FFC's sorry 'effort' at Anfield. I appreciate it's not the same coming back at home as it is on the road, but still... The TV analyst (Clarridge?) concluded we are relegation fodder and who's to argue with him; the only team we've outplayed all season is Palace, and even there it took a couple of wonder goals to put us on top. Does Khan understand how much the value of his asset will decline if the team go down to the Championship?

It is amusing that the only Jol defenders left at FoF are relying on the "who would accept the job" argument, hardly a one will say he's doing a decent job. And our best player (that's Ruiz, in case you've forgotten) didn't exactly rescue us today, did he?

Had to help my bro in law move. Not a surprise scoreline since we all predicted 4-0. A day filled with lugging boxes, beds, and appliances pales in comparison to the drudgery those of you endured watching us play all 90 minutes.

MAF must be laughing all the way to the bank. You have to wonder how Khan feels about owning dreadful teams in two different countries and two different sports. Meanwhile, what is one to make of the by-play between Bent and Taarabt on the bench? Doesn't appear that the squad on the sidelines cares about results any more than the ones on the field.

They're two loan players who are here short term, besides acting like pros, there really are not many reasons for them to care. :angry-banghead:

    embarrassing. yep, that's the word.

in the past few years this club fought both Liverpool and Man United, and won on occasion. this squad is absolutely shameful and they quit yesterday. that's the worst thing I could say...they fucking quit.

this is worse than the sanchez days - at least those fellas worked hard, they just sucked with poor tactics. now fulham suck with no heart or fight.

granted that I expected fulham to lose the past two matches, but the manner in which they capitulated is disgusting.

January beckons a clear - out, not just of managers and staff (which hopefully happens in a fortnight), but players as well. this bunch has the heart of mice and the fight of a...well, no fight at all.

    COYW - for fucks sake

Phil's a bit of a...curmudgeon. Not that's he's wrong, but he's been writing this sort of thing for well over a year now.

Anywho, so, we were out shot 32/4. That is freaking awful. BUUUUT TURNS OUT IT'S NOT THAT UNUSUAL AT ANFIELD!

    2007: 4-0; 33/5
    2008: 2-0; 21/5
    2009: 0-0; 22/5
    2010: 0-0; 25/3
    2011: 1-0; ***
    2012: 0-1; 21/10
    2013: 4-0; 23/12

Whhhhhyyyy are we Fulham fans/do this to ourselves?!?

(***cant find data on espnfc; BBC said it was 11/12 in our favor. But I doubt that.)

with 36 points from our last 38 league matches, I'd say that we've been sucking canal water for well over a year now.

Sorry, timmy, the continued presence of Martin Jol and the certain relegation his retention means had done a job on my normal positive and jovial nature, I'm afraid.
