Well, Fulham need to win this game to make sure they advance. If they don't then they really shouldn't be advancing, even if they do.

The game will be shown live on GOLtv, which is great since I have that channel. :D

Anyone planning to be in the chatroom?

Will try and make the chatroom if the wonderful 91 fwy permits me getting back by noon. Also have goltv and glad to hear they've decided to actually put Fulham on for a change (I think this is the first time this season).

Baird and Duff are available, AJ is suspended, the Captain and Sidders still out. Schwartz is a little dinged up, so an Etheridge sighting is a possibility. Odense is by far the worst team in the group so as Heather said we don't deserve to advance if we can't take of business.

Sheesh, a game thread for essentially a must win Europa match is struggling for some responses. Where is everybody? No line-ups and/or predictions? Did Fulham play so poorly against Swansea that they want them out of Europa? Are FUSA members on a secret strike?

I had a close call and nearly ODed on soccer. I think I'm okay though. It was mostly the kids soccer that did it. Adults meddling and screwing things up; it would help if Jol was screwing Fulham up at the moment.

Anyway, I will be in the chatroom today for the match. Hope some you guys are there. COYWs!!!!!

Yeah, this is a big one. I'll be in the chatroom and listening on UEFA.com. If I still had a job (@*#%^&#&&%&#%&#%&! Sorry, still bitter about that), I would've put up the extra $10 a month to get GolTV during the Europa run, but I can't justify it now.

Ethridge fans (I'm guessing mostly people from the Phillippines) are trolling the Fulham FC Official facebook wall like crazy. I heard Stockdale got recalled from loan, and I'd definitely feel more comfortable with him starting in the biggest game of the season thus far. If Wisla Krakow draws or loses we're actually through regardless (unless they draw and we lose by 9 goals), but Twente will probably be fielding a less than stellar side since they've already won the group.

I remember Odense's keeper being pretty good, but hopefully, Dempsey's goal against Liverpool will have him started on a good run of form and maybe Dembele can finally find the back of the net (with the chances he's getting, it seems only a matter of time). Having both Captain Danny and Sidwell out is a worry as it seems like we've got Etuhu and a ton of wingers (with Duff and Davies back) in the midfield- but I think we're the better side. Odense's lost 4 of their 5 Europa League games. Let's make it 5 of 6.

That great Filipino International Neil Etheridge  between the pipes today. Off to the OC and hope to be back by game time.

Here are the starters: Etheridge; Kelly, Hangeland, Hughes, Briggs; Frei, Gecov, Baird, Dempsey; Dembele, Zamora

I now go on media blackout until I can get home this evening and watch the match (DVR, don't fail me now). For those watching/listening live, enjoy!

Only got to see the second half but WOW what a shocking result. What in the world was Sa doing at the end there!? Just an awful breakdown in the last 60 seconds.

I suppose the only positive is that we can focus on not getting sent down this season.

    Ugh. :|

That was horrible. I can't believe Fulham effed it up in the last minute of stoppage time to get knocked out of Europa!

At least there was good company in the chat room. Wish we had some booze at the end though.

We suck and it's Jol's fault. Get him out of here.

Only positive... great to see a large group in the chatroom today.

The second half was utterly pathetic. Absolutely sick to my stomach since an easy 3 or 4 goal win looked in the bag.

Yeah, the celebratory beer I started drinking just after halftime tasted pretty bitter at the end. I guess on the plus side, we can't have a more heartbreaking match this season, can we? We've always had such a well-organized defense to hear it fall apart like that at the end is especially disheartening. Etheridge wasn't bad in his debut and while Sa's play at the end was foolish- I pin the blame squarely on the midfield and defense that allowed Odense to go all the way down the field with less than a minute left and put a free header into the net. Terrible.

I don't blame Jol, either... there are some things we couldn't done at the end, maybe subbing in Etuhu to put a bigger body back in a defensive mid role or just holding 10 men back, but in the end and maybe Etheridge's inexperience meant he couldn't marshal the defense properly like Schwarzer does- but in the end, it wasn't strategy that lost us our place, it was mental lapses and malaise.

Glad I at least had some fellow fans to commiserate with in the chat room.

Now let's focus on the league and FA Cup- if we finish in the Top 10 and make our way to at least the Quarterfinals this year will be a holding pattern rather than a disaster.

When you don't take advantage of your opportunities in a futbol match, it almost always comes back to bite you. My pet peeve is..How can u have a free kick from about 40 yds. out on the left flank with a one goal lead and 20 minutes to play and NOT hit a ball to the back post...DUH
This team can look great and awful in the same game....

Conceding late...nothing new to this squad. Let's see, Twente, Everton, Swansea, even Arsenal and now this.

That's down to tactics - not calling for Jol out but something has to change. It's like the friggin' 80 minutes for Sanchez Brigade all over again.

I checked the score at half and saw 2-0 up...bloody disgraceful 45 minutes in my assumption.

Oh, young Padawan, may your words to Yoda's ears make them true.

You and I both support Fulham, after all :D ...

Still, how does Fulham blow a two - nil lead at the Cottage in Europe? Something is rotten in Denmark (no offense, Danes) and I'm strugglin' to see what it is...other than that new manager fella.

Saw we were 2-1 with a few minutes left, so I decided to tune into the radio feed online and join the chat room to see out the end of the game... Ended up putting a damper on my day. Haven't really been up to speed on the season so far aside from seeing the results every few weeks. What a way to get back into things, eh?

Welcome back, IanHux. Hasn't been the most dazzling of campaigns to be sure. After all this, hopefully Fulham earns a trip to Wembley in the FA Cup.

We lost that game? You gotta be friggin' kidding me. Blowing a 2 -0 lead. Gee why does that sound familiar.

This is like Sanchez but even worse. At least under Sanchez they guys played their hearts out. Ughh why cant we get a good manager and keep him.
