The feel good vibe will go by the wayside if the lads don't take all 3 points against Cardiff. Berba and Bent both scoring albeit in the League Cup is just what the doctor ordered, and they are capable of scoring goals in bunches. Besides a win, the biggest hope is for our home fans (even the ones that have their knives sharpened for Jol's neck) to get behind the team. Cardiff traveling support will be in full force (fingers-crossed they don't live up to their reputation), so the home side needs a positive response from our supporters.

I'm looking forward to a positive outcome this week. It's nice to go into a match not thinking about how bad it's going to be or when the team is going to blow the match.

The next four matches will say a lot about the team going forward. vs Cardiff, vs Stoke, at Crystal Palace, at Southampton. If we don't get at least six points from that run, then we're going to be looking up the table all season.

I've seen Cardiff in a couple of their home matches, but have yet to see them play on the road. Based on the approach they take at home, I'd predict a 1-1 draw. However most teams, especially in the bottom half of the table, play differently away from home than they do at home. Cardiff are conceding an average of 2 goals/match on the road. Hopefully that means they'll give us some space and we can build on the Everton victory. So I'll go with an optimistic 2-0 victory for the Whites. :banana-dance:

gonna try to make this one in the chatroom and LIVE for VFST reporting. I think we can turn these guys over -- 3-1.

Let's play tough, strong, attacking football. 4-4-2 will do it. NO MARTIN JOL SEXY FOOTBALL!

    come on you whites

Not sure if I can make the chat room, have the little one all to myself Sat morning. At 4 yo she loves to watch with me, but if I try and get in the chat I know she will be bugging me to play as we watch the match. Not that I mind playing with her though. Trying to watch, chat, and play w her would be like trying to heard cats. :)

Feeling good about this one. 2-1 or 2-0 to The Whites

HD, She said had to go to a kid's bday party.

As far as the match, the feel good vibe from Wed. went straight down the toilet.
