Today Jol is claiming that Zamora still has a future at Craven Cottage and will be needed against Odense this week. But I'm a little unclear of what this quote means:

Not the best Substitute? Still would have been handy to have him around if he was healthy.

The article closes with Villa being interested in signing him during the transfer period.

Jol is just strange. I've liked all the Fulham managers since I've been following, even Sanchez, but I dont like Jol.

I'm not sure about Jol either Mo, but you liked Sanchez (I'm sure you meant at the beginning) ??? Something about him bothered me the first time I heard him interviewed.

I almost understand the idea that BZ isn't the best sub; he does not inject a spark coming off the bench. Yet, I would rather have him around, just in case.

Let's just hope this doesn't become like the Bobby Valentine/Todd Hundley mind games that went on with the Mets.

Oh, and what's up with Baird not playing on the road? It seems he's out for "personal reasons" on all away matches. I know about his house being fire-bombed, but that was a year ago. Is there still something going on?

Some players respond to a kick in the butt, some to a pat on the back. Remember when Bobby used to give the ssshhh move to our fans after scoring? That tells me he falls in the latter group, he is sensitive to criticism, and to get the best out of him you have to be positive. Kicking him out of practice probably isn't going to motivate him. Let's see how how he responds manana, since he will be getting the start.
