I'm not on FB, but would love to know where a Fulham pub is in the bay area, JC. I've missed it for 7 years, however, I'm not the most astute locator of watering holes (other than those w/in viewing distance or former brothels).

Nev, have you checked soccer bars.com? Worst case scenario you could grab a couple Red Bulls, leave your pad at midnight, and meet us just in time for the Fox and Hounds to open  Of course MJSF might not be enough of to keep you awake.

I'm am making a list of to dos in order for your group to grow in numbers (it won't be specific just to you, but anyone else who wants to start their own group). I highly recommend getting a gmail and twitter account specific for the group and doing what the NYC group did--that is find a specific pub and work out a special deal for your group. Also, see if the pub will publicize your group through their twitter feed if they have one. That may be another reason to think more local instead of state specific.

If I can figure out which bus to take from Santa Monica to the F&H then I will see some of you roundabout this time tomorrow. I can picture myself now reading the TOOFIF on the upper deck, as if I were on the 74 to Putney.

There is a rule amongst friends sfm that live here and it roughly goes like this: 'Friends don't let friends take the bus (or in your case 5 buses) in SoCal'. Not that the public transit system is bad per se (not great compared to 95% of the world's largest metropolitan areas, but LA in it's vastness is geared for individuals to take their cars). Could you get from Santa Monica to Studio City by bus? Yes, but do you want to get up at 4 am to make it? There is a pub in Santa Monica that should be showing the match called Ye Olde King's Head http://www.yeoldekingshead.com/. I will call later to make sure they are open early tomorrow (I'm sure they are). I will start a separate thread and gauge the interest/availability of Tim, Lax, etc.
