FULHAM are weighing up a new deal for veteran winger Damien Duff.

The 34-year-old Irishman has clocked up more than 150 appearances for the Whites since his move from Newcastle United in 2009.

Duff only signed a 12-month extension back in February to tie him to Craven Cottage until next summer.

But boss Martin Jol believes the former Blackburn and Chelsea man could play on beyond the end of the campaign, providing he stays fit.

He said: “A few years ago they told me he was quite old – he was 33 – and he's still playing, so I don't know [how long he can go on for].

"It was the same with Danny Murphy. Every year they gave him another year, but he was 35 and still one of our best players.

"He's a true professional. What we will do for him is give him an extension if we feel he can play for another year.”
