Yep, I agree. Change is never w/o nervousness, but I'm hoping this club is going from great hands to great hands. Here's to you, Mr. Fayed - you've been one in a million (or 200 million pounds). And a further toast to the new owner, Mr. Khan. The ball's in your court, sir.

A true giant, and what a ride he took life long Fulham fans on. For those of us who came along later he was a larger than life character. I can still see him, scarf in hand that great day at Portsmouth to celebrate w/the supporters.

It's too bad I never got to hear this live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzAKkZ7pRok

Nevertheless, he was a good owner. I look at my first year supporting the club- 2004/05- we finished 13th and the most recent, we also finished 13th, but it's been a pretty wild ride in between. I doubt there will ever be as exciting a period to be a Fulham supporter as 2008-2010- going from a late goal to the good away from the second division to a deflected extra time goal away from being Kings of Europe (OK, maybe more like Princes, but still) in just two years. Of course, his time as Chairman shows an even greater leap- from the 3rd division to a team that's entering its 13th season in the top flight. He once was quoted as saying he wanted Fulham to be "the Manchester United of the South"- but although I wouldn't mind having the silverware, I'm glad we're not. He never quite matched those lofty ambitions, but no one can fault Chairman Mo for not doing his best for the club. Like us, he was born in another country, on another continent, thousands of miles from Craven Cottage, but he'll always be FULHAM.

A true hero of the club. He should have his ascot retired.
