Fulham takes a shot at history when Chelsea comes to the Cottage on Easter Sunday. The match kicks off at 9am on USA Network. Fulham has never done the double over Chelsea, but a win on Sunday would put an end to that bit of history.

There is certainly reason for optimism. Fulham popped the Chelsea bubble back on Boxing Day. Chelsea was second in the league and entertained thoughts of maybe even making a run for the title. Since that home loss their form has dipped and they've slid down to 6th place. Cole Palmer in that span has gone ice cold, making his goal celebration a bit ironic. Chelsea has only gotten one point against the top half of the table since December 1 (Fulham has earned 18 points against the top half in the same span). Then their manager oddly put a very strong squad in their Conference League match on Thursday despite having a three goal lead on aggregate. They still didn't play very well and lost the match, but won the tie.

Fulham is also almost at full health with only Nelson unavailable. I expect to see Tete play a significant part of the second half and it would be nice to see a late cameo from Wilson - especially if Fulham need a late goal!

I mentioned after the Bournemouth match that Fulham is where streaks go to end. So maybe that means Fulham gets a win despite a Palmer goal? I'd take that. But I think the more likely outcome is that Fulham's 8 match trend of alternating win and loss comes to an end. Maybe even a draw for the first time since the opening match of 2025. This season has been amazing, but a double over Chelsea feels like asking for too much!

It’s been a weird season with more good than bad. So I’m cautiously optimistic here.

Very excited. After the let down at Bournemouth I think we deserve a W. I got cable briefly for the NHL playoffs so I can watch at home and avoid the bar bill. Probably better I'm at home for Easter morning then knocking a couple back watching a game.

I can't seem to catch a break on these Chelsea matches. On Boxing day I was traveling in the Netherlands and the video feeds were so locked down I couldn't even find the highlights! Before that the match was on USA which I don't get. And before that it was a Monday match that I missed because of work. And before that it was a Friday match that I also missed because of work. I haven't seen Fulham play Chelsea live since I took a Thursday afternoon off in January of 2023 to see Vinicius get the winner against 10-man Chelsea! Now I'll have family and the biggest religious holiday on my calendar taking precedence. Maybe I should at least wear my Fulham shirt to church.

Tete gets the start! Glad to see Sessegnon is starting again on the right. And Wilson is on the bench! An encouraging lineup regardless of what follows. Notably, record signing Smith Rowe doesn't even make the bench. Hmmm
