Fulham faces Wigan for the first time in four and a half years on Saturday. The FA Cup Fourth Round match is available on ESPN+ with kickoff at 10am EST.

Fulham has a number of connections that make this match a little more interesting than usual. Steven Sessegnon is on the Wigan squad, which opens the possibility that he could face his brother Ryan for the first time. Neither has started much, but the Cup match might open opportunities for both of them. Meanwhile Godo had been on loan with Wigan and Tyrese Francois now plays for the Latics - although Francois is injured, like many others on the squad. Finally, Wigan's manager played under Silva at Hull.

Fulham should win this one. With a full week until the next Premier League match, Fulham has the option of playing their strongest squad possible. I'd like to see Fulham get out to an early lead with our typical starters and then rotate in some other players to see it out.

Wigan will remind Fulham that they are the only one of the two squads that has actually won an FA Cup so Fulham shouldn't get too cocky about cruising to an easy win.

Certainly not our first choice lineup, but plenty of talent to win. I do remember back in the day when Roberto Martinez was their gaffer we’d never win up there.

Different players. Exact same MO. All the possession. No urgency. Very few quality attempts. Nervy victory.
