Looks like getting Andre from Fluminese as a replacement for Palhinha is only a matter of time. I never saw him play, but I trust Marco's ability to find gems.

Reports just over the last 24 hrs that Chelsea are sniffing around Pereira and ready to pay 35M pounds. If that is true, grab the money and run. I think Iwobi would do at least as well in the middle of the field, and that's 25M profit we could invest in younger legs.

Finally, I really hope this season is different than the last two in that we give our academy talents more chances to show off. We have one of the best academies in football and do the least with it when it comes to promoting guys to the first team.

Can we sign somebody already? I'm tired of the rumors, just need something official already. Less than 30 days until the new season.

@astroevan Looked it up and it was reportedly $51 mill for Joao w/up to another $5mill of add-ons.

Let’s hope the Smith Rowe deal gets done asap, then we can look for some backline help.

Never really wanted to change my profile pic. Now there’s no need to think about it anymore.

If the article holds true, sounds like Sess may be a like for like replacement for BDR.

Bringing Sessegnon back would be a great story, but also just good business for the squad needs right now. With Willian's return uncertain (and his age) Fulham needs someone else who can play on the left. Plus it would free up Iwobi to play centrally sometimes since that seems to be a good thing in certain situations. It also provides an emergency backup for Robinson - I think Fulham got incredibly lucky last season that Robinson never got sick, injured (except that one game against Luton), or suspended.

I am so jacked up about this! Praying he can rediscover the form he had during his breakout years here. That ball he threaded between Allen Hutton and John Terry to TC for the only goal at Wembley was…orgasmic.

Smith Rowe done, pending a medical. I think he'll be a good addition but not guaranteed a starting spot if Pereira stays. I'm worried all the CB rumors have dried up. Could it be that Marco feels De Fougerolles can do the job? Unlikely.

I like the addition of a CB, but if Fulham doesn't have a right-footed CB in the pipeline, I just hope he can play reasonably well on the right side of central defense too. Bassey is solid on the left, it is the right where some help is needed.

So, who's next? Tim is out of the door on the way to Charlotte, but Bassey and Cuenca (excellent yesterday) are what we need on the left side of center defense going forward. I'll miss the "Reeeeeeeam" call from the stands.

We really need an upgrade on Diop. He catches a lot of flak, and it's mostly deserved--he's a good defender, but his distribution and decision-making are subpar, and he doesn't fit the strategy of building out from the back. A new right-sided CB is a must. There is some excellent talent in the academy, such as DeFougerolles, but going with a young guy is a risk.

McTominay and Andre seem to have fallen through. Unlike in CB, we don't have a top-notch DM coming up in the academy. We need to bring someone in who can compete with and help Reed.

Overall, though, I feel pretty comfortable with where we are, unlike the last two summers. I know that's weird, with Palhinha, Tosin, Willian, and Decordova-Reid leaving, but I think Marco can juggle the personnel to account for that. I think it'll be a fun and exciting season. The personnel will dictate a slightly different strategy, and that will be interesting, too.
