Old man Wade was the story in Game 4, and old man Manu was the one in Game 5.

I actually watched the entire match, and did it LIVE. It's the first COMPLETE Spurs game I've watched in about 3 years. I can't take the stress, but it's a bit different in a room full of people.

    A few things of note:

    1. Until halftime, the most impressive player on the floor -- by far -- was LeBron. Even the return of Manu and Green's continued sharpshooting couldn't overshadow James' total dominance. Leonard was overwhelmed, but you can't do that for long. The young mr Leonard shut him down in the second half.

    2. For years I have bristled at Ginobili's reputation for "flopping." Manu's body is beaten black and blue season after season, but when Battier was called for the foul after the three point attempt, I almost fell off the couch laughing. I informed by friends that he is, after all, an Argentine, and knows how to take a dive.

    3. Respect [and I hate saying this] to Miami for not surrendering when the Spurs began to blow it open. It was a stark contrast to San Antonio going into the tank in game 4's fourth quarter.

I think we're going to win game 6 and that it'll be all over in Miami. I won't be watching, of course, because we'll be playing Honduras and I do have my priorities. You have no idea how much crap I take for watching the USMNT instead of the Spurs.

It is so hard to shoot free throws with both hands gripping your throat tightly.

Literally only watched the final one minute of regulation (no way could I bring myself to watch OT). The free throw misses were bad, but still they had 2 chances to rebound the basketball to win the title and Duncan was on the bench

As I pointed out on Facebook, it's very hard to shoot free throws well with both hands grasping your throat tightly. It's a shame that Duncan's best ever post season game ended that way.

As for Manu, I tire of his pin-point passing to opponents. I love the Argentine, but it's time to hang it up. There's a lot of grumbling here that as good as Splitter has been this season, we'd be better off with more Blair and Diaw. And, while I still believe that only John Wooden and SAF are superior to Pop as a coach in any team sport, I have no idea how you bench Timmy with a 5 point lead and 32 seconds left -- not on that night.

I hate to say this, but I think they carved the Spurs heart right out of their chests last night. It might be a Miami walkover on Thursday.

With all the talk about LeBron coming alive after 3 quarters and stacking up some big numbers, how about some love for Ray Allen? That's the best clutch performance I've seen out of him since he wore the green up in Boston.

I couldn't watch it. I kept track on line.

We're having a little trouble with this. We've never been behind in a championship series before, and now that we are, there's no way to catch up.

Congrats to the Heat players, the grown up kid from The Omen who coaches them, and the plastic wannabes that "root" for them. :angry-banghead:

The simple evaluation is down the stretch Miami executed better than San Antonio. Sorry for rooting for your team HD.
