Futsal Key to Fulham flourishing fledglings

Interesting to see Fulham has been doing this and they are attributing the U18s success to it.

In case you dont know, the USSF has made offering two months of futsal during the winter a requirement for all of the US Soccer Development Academies. They are also organizing futsal tournments for the academies; the inaugural tournaments kicked off this past spring. However, it's a bit opposite because our academies are U13 - U18(the U13 and U14 ages are being added this fall) while it sounds like Fulham and Premier League teams are doing futsal only at the U9 - U14 ages. Hopefully all the US academies are also offering futsal at the younger ages, I know our local academy offers it very cheaply down to the U8 age group.
