Joe Bryan has been sent on loan to Nice. Not too shabby for a loan deal! I mean, it's Nice! The French Riviera! And he gets a shot to play in the Europa Conference League. Sure hope this means there are some other left backs to come in for Fulham before the end of the day.

I'm guessing the lawyers are all over this. The most frustrating thing is that Fulham have been interested in Kluivert for over a month but nobody realizes this issue until all sides have agreed and there's less than two days left in the window.

All in all, not a bad deadline day. Kind of wish we’d have kept Francois. All 4 new additions have recently struggled, but in Silva I trust. I am also surprised but pleased that Rodak didn’t leave.

I really wonder what’s going to happen with Onomah, Knockaert, and Cavaleiro.

I know some deals may still go through but it looks to me like all this business leaves Onomah, Knockaert, and Cavaleiro as paid professional footballers with no team.

Edit: I started my message then stepped away so I didn’t see daddude’s until I posted.

Its been reported that Onomah had a loan deal to West Brom that didn’t get across the wire.

Some random thoughts on the transfers...

Aren't Willian and James both typically on the right wing? Are they flexible enough to rotate on the left?

I haven't seen anything official on Francois. The Fulham news and Twitter feeds don't seem to have anything although it looked like he was headed out on loan to Gorica in Croatia.

It is shocking to me that they couldn't find new homes for Onomah, Knockaert, and Cavaleiro. Are they really that undesirable? They are all still listed on Fulham's first team page although once James is added that will mean there are 26 faces on that page so clearly they can't all stay. Knockaert did well coming on as a sub a couple times last season to close out matches and should Fulham win the Premier Leauge he would celebrate harder than any starting player. For those reasons I wouldn't mind if he stuck around. Cavaleiro can go play shuffleboard with Parker.

I'm amazed that Fulham has gotten such good results so far when Mitrovic, Kebano (until he was loaned out in February), DeCordova-Reid, Reed, Tete, Tosin, Ream, and Robinson were all part of the disastrous 2020-21 squad. Credit to Silva for getting these guys to all play the best football of their careers - some like Ream and Kebano were barely even allowed on the pitch but are now key players in what has been a good start to the season. It also makes me think that Pereira and especially Palhinha have been incredibly valuable signings and a big step up from a midfield with Cairney/Onomah/Anguissa. But that also makes me nervous that Fulham is a single injury away from a big drop off in quality and there was no additional midfield strength brought in on the final day of the transfer window. Finally, there may be something to keeping some team cohesion. These guys all jelled together with Silva last season and they've kept it going. A month ago I didn't think this lineup was good enough, but I was wrong.

I thought we might add one maybe two on deadline day. I can't believe we were so busy. Like the rest of you, I can't believe they didn't find takers for Onomah, Knockaert, and Cavaleiro.

I am impressed by the business conducted on deadline day, however I will say that I am disappointed that Jay has been loaned out and not been provided an opportunity to contribute going forward, given his performance in the first few games where he did not look out of place. Additionally, I believe we shorted ourselves in providing midfield depth. We are one Joao or Harrison knock away from having to adjust tactics drastically (Chalobah is not the answer).
