So, now that we have a REASONABLY available and decent quality Internet source, I'm looking forward to the new season.

Looking for some info about Peacock before we pull the trigger.
Do you guys use the no-commercial upgrade or, since you're watching fitba on this platform, take the $5 [no commercial] option?
How's the quality and reliability as compared to NBC?
HatterMom has dabbled in Discovery+, Paramount+, and PBS Passport. Is Peacock similar to those? [she's my tekkie]
What's the deal with the Fulham package I've seen you guys discuss? Does it include Cup matches? Is it expensive?

    Thanks [in advance] guys!

The $5 ad version of peacock is fine if you are primarily watching football. No commercials during the actual game (other than halftime). It's fairly easy to use. Better organized the the PBS passport app.

Most of the cup games streamed on ESPN+ last year I believe. ESPN+ almost always has some game on be it German, swedish, championship or whatever. It's a good deal if you are a sports fan.

I have Peacock Premium included as part of my internet service. That means I don't pay the $5, but I have to watch it through my streaming box provided by Xfininty, so I can't watch it on my computer or away from home. My Peacock service also includes some commercials, but as @stlouisbrad said they don't interrupt the game and I don't find the onerous otherwise.

Peacock has been reliable and the video quality is good assuming you've got the bandwidth. I've had no significant issues recently. The first season they carried the Premier League I sometimes had to exit and reload the game to see the stream if they had a break prior to kickoff or at half time. I don't remember that happening last season, but if you feel like the game should be back on, try exiting and coming back in.

Peacock is very similar to Paramount+, but instead of crappy CBS primetime programming you get crappy NBC primetime programming, and instead of the Champions League you get the Premier League. Both have a few original series, but they are mostly disappointing (although I did like "We Are Lady Parts" on Peacock and we've been watching "The Resort" this week). Follow-up question for Hatter Mom - Do you like any of the Star Trek programming on Paramount+? I've disliked all of the new series and I really haven't liked anything Star Trek related this millennium. Through the 80's and 90's I was a big fan of Star Trek, but no more. :(

The FFCTV package from Fulham does not include any live video of first team matches - including cups. As Brad said, you'll generally need ESPN+ for cup matches. It costs about $55 a year and the main advantage is that you'll be able to get all the matches on replay. Peacock will have some matches on replay, but I don't think it will include the ones that aired on USA network.

Thanks guys, i guess we'll go for the $5 a month

MM, HatterMom IS the house trekkie, and after trying to ignore all the "new" stuff, I'm now hooked. She says, "Strange New Worlds" and "Pickard" are her favorites and I enjoy them both -- mostly the former. SNW is Capt Pike's Enterprise and we've just caught up to Kirk's first appearance.

HM, like me, isn't so concerned about fealty to the original series -- quite frankly, it was a bit self-important for me at times. We look at the programs as variations -- sort of like what I do with the songs I cover.

Discovery was fun at first, but, as HM puts it, Neeech.

    thanks again
