Would never suggest a match against Grenada was vital, but when the team will only play 4 matches before the Wales game, we can’t just send out the C team. The next one at El Salvador will be a better test then the blowout tonight. Those last 7/8 roster spots are up for grabs.

More than any other player I want to see Luca de la Torre in the last two matches.

Well, last night was a good start I'd say! I think de la Torre was the best player out there. He did well going forward and covering on defense. The competition wasn't the greatest, but I think he did all that could have been asked of him. Hopefully that performance earned him some more playing time.

Looking forward to the lads traveling to El
Salvador tomorrow. If we had come up short this WC Cycle you could point to the dreadful 0-0 performance on the road against them. We looked like hot garbage, and those 2 dropped points almost doomed us. It’s Nations League FFS, I’m guessing GB is putting in most of the starters (Wright will be the #9), so let’s get after it and boss the match.

I tuned in to watch a soccer game and instead got Monty Python doing the Batley Ladies Theater Guild. A perfect example of why away games in CONCACAF can be so difficult. Loved the equalizer at the end.

I liked that de la Torre came through again with the assist on the tying goal.

These remaining international matches are probably most important for figuring out who should be in the lineup against Wales on November 21. de la Torre has made his case. Was Horvath's poor positioning on El Salvador's solitary goal enough to knock him out of the running? Any other clarity provided by this match?

I found it interesting that the TUDN Spanish-Language highlights did not show the red-card foul called against Areola. It seemed like a pretty soft red card and that only added to my feeling that it was a bad call.

Looking across the pond at some of the USA's World Cup Competition, both Wales and England are at the bottom of their groups in the UEFA Nations League. Despite having fewer points than England, Wales probably feels better about their squad since they've been competitive in all their matches while England got hammered yesterday by Hungary at Molineux.

I think Luca has a seat on the plane to Qatar locked up. His play has been noticeably better...much better, actually. He's doing good things, making the right decisions almost every time, and is causing opposing defenders major problems. And he's playing like he WANTS to be there.
