Fulham Goal of the Season - 2021/22

Never before have we had so many options to choose from! On the flip side, Fulham was so dominant this season that many of the goals lacked in situational tension and drama.

My pick is Mitrovic's goal versus Peterborough. I remember watching it live and feeling like Mitrovic levitated himself into the box! He seemed to have defied gravity momentarily or entered cheat-mode. It was also an example of good team play with Carvalho's silky moves up the field and Kebano's beautiful cross leading up to the goal. I'd give honorable mentions to Neco Williams' stunning volley against Swansea and Carvalho's perfectly placed shot against Luton after working the ball well with Mitrovic and Wilson.

 

I voted for Mitro vs Swansea. Tons of great choices this is year. Hoping for the same next season.

 

Wow that was fun to watch! I'm with Micah in picking Mitro vs. Petersborough. Everything about that goal was picture perfect for me.

 

These awards are always a difficult decision. Do you go with a team goal, individual brilliance, or the most meaningful goal? I chose Decordova-Reid's goal against Stoke City. The decision was based mostly on my reaction and emotions when it happened. I recall watching that match and the four second rollercoaster that I went on was quite a ride. First there's the excitement as Muniz powers a header toward goal followed by letdown as it smashes against the crossbar. The ball bounces off a defender's head and then, just as my emotion is settling into its low point, Decordova-Reid lashes a laser volley through everyone and into the back of the net. Euphoria reigns again!
