Burnley is going down to the Championship and they will have to unload some of their players. I think Nick Pope may be one of the best keepers in the Premier League and I'd be pretty darn happy if he found his way to Fulham. And while we are looking at Burnley, Tarkowski is out of contract and available as a CB. Burnley gave up only 53 goals this season which was better than half the Premier League so despite relegation, I think they are worth a look. Sadly, if I had to guess, they are probably both a little too pricey for Fulham.

Adnan Januzaj has been released by Real Sociedad. Worth a look? He's 27 and has Premiership experience, and he's a winger, where we need a little more depth.

Next season, the five-sub rule comes back, and teams will be able to name 9 players to the bench. Depth will be super important in order to compete.

As for Solomon, what I've read (not sure how reliable) was that his agent Pini Zahavi was pissed off because we wouldn't give him a ridiculous signing bonus for Strakosha, who's also his client.

Tarkowski would be a good pick up. I also really like Nathan Collins, but he has three years left on his contract, and Burnley paid 12 million pounds for him. He has superstar potential at CB.

Looks like we're saying goodbye to, among others: Seri, Hector, Mawson, Christie, and Fabri. Kongolo, Knockaert, Onomah and Cavaleiro have time left on their contracts, or we probably would have seen them on this list, too. I am happy with the list of folks we're trying to get under new contracts, but surprised Seri isn't among them.

I know you shouldn't judge a player based on one match, but my goodness, Collins was terrible yesterday and almost relegated Burnley all on his own. His handball that lead to the penalty was something I haven't seen since watching kids play in middle school when they forget for a moment they are playing soccer and not basketball and he was flat out lucky to not score an own goal later.

Seri is the only surprise for me on that list. I didn't care for him much in 2018-19, but I finally warmed up to him this year. Hector and Mawson showed flashes of potential, but couldn't manage to earn consistent playing time. I hope Fabri enjoyed his four relaxing years with Fulham and is ready to work for a living again.

Maybe we could get Pulisic to replace Carvalho. And although he’s not as well off as, say, an oil-rich sheikdom on the Persian Gulf, I say Shad can afford what Shad wants to afford. Two recent seasons’ worth of parachute payments should enable us to acquire the talent we need without having to overpay. But, yeah, Tony’s still in charge. No more Andre Schurrle’s please TK.

Gonna say something controversial here. I think that even if we get minimal or no signings this summer, we will have a better chance of staying up than we did the last time around. Why? A few reasons:
    - Silva's pragmatic approach and tactics.
    - Esprit de corps.
    - Boa Morte's daily influence.
    - The core players we do have--Mitro, Wilson, Reed, Cairney, Tosin, Tete, Robinson--setting the standard.
    - The academy. I hope Francois accepts the new contract. He may be the Seri replacement we already have. Tons of other talent ready to step in and be mentored by the senior players.

Having said that, I will breathe easier when we get a CB, or two, through the door. An attacking mid. A RB. A winger. We don't need that much--4 to 6 players--but depth will be an advantage with 5 subs this season.

Going to disagree with you about Fulham being able to be successful with minimal to no signings; but that is down to the status of the current roster. I think the list below is correct and, in my opinion, Fulham only have 12 players on the roster that were major contributors to Fulham's success last season. For Fulham to be successful this season they will need to add a significant number of quality players to the squad. With the potential of 5 subs a match the current squad depth negligee thin.

    # Position Player Contract
    1 Goalkeeper Marek Rodak 30-Jun-24
    21 Goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga 30-Jun-23
    2 Right-Back Kenny Tete 30-Jun-24
    5 Centre-Back Terence Kongolo 30-Jun-24
    13 Centre-Back Tim Ream 30-Jun-23
    16
    Centre-Back Tosin Adarabioyo 30-Jun-23
    33
    Left-Back Antonee Robinson 30-Jun-24
    23
    Left-Back Joe Bryan 30-Jun-23
    8
    Right Winger Harry Wilson 30-Jun-26
11 Right Winger Anthony Knockaert 30-Jun-23
12 Defensive Midfield Nathaniel Chalobah 30-Jun-23

Yeah, I know, I'm just trying to make myself feel better because I'm nervous. Need to remember that the window doesn't even open until Friday (and July 1 outside the UK). I'm really afraid of a last-minute scramble again where TK buys guys up based on stats like he's playing FIFA22. Silva will need time with any new arrivals. But I do want him, and expect him, to take a close look at the academy talents over the summer.

It is interesting to look at the experiences of Brentford and Watford last in the Premier League last season. As a reminder, Watford finished 4 points ahead of Brentford in the Championship to get automatic promotion. Watford made a bunch of signings last summer (Imram Louza, Moussa Sissoko, Danny Rose, Josh King, Emmanuel Dennis) and said good-bye to some key players (notably for Fulham, Chalobah). And after a promising start with a win against Villa, they proceeded to get worse as the season went along, cycle through a couple of managers, and get relegated. Meanwhile Brentford made very few changes over the summer and stuck with most of the players that got them through the playoffs. Despite the different approaches, Brentford was having a similar season to Watford - good start, but getting worse as the season went on. That was until Brentford rolled the dice and brought in Christian Eriksen who was healthy enough to start in early March. In the games where Eriksen played 90 minutes Brentford had 7 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses - more than half their points for the season. They went from being just three points outside relegation to comfortably mid-table in 13th place 11 points outside relegation.

Eriksen is a special talent in an unusual situation with his health concerns, but it highlights the importance of getting the right signings. Watford made a bunch of additions that brought almost no value while Brentford made one addition with huge value. The players weren't the only factors - good, consistent management at Brentford was also key - but the right players are a prerequisite for success. Fulham has some good players that are capable of being a solid core as @daddude7 mentioned, but they'll need some smart choices to help bring them up to Premier League level.

The domestic transfer window is now open until September 1. Still no official action from Fulham. Not panicking since lots of teams haven't made any move yet, but just eager to see what happens.

It seems like most of the transfer rumors have involved foreign transfers which can’t officially take place until July 1 I think.

Also, don’t most current contracts expire on June 30? Signaling the fiscal year rollover in a way.

I’m not sure but that may be why the window for international signings doesn’t open until July 1.

Read on Twitter that Cauley Woodrow is potentially transferring or has transferred to Luton Town.
