Whites on international duty

I don't know about y'all, but I was a little sad to see this international break come along, considering how well we've started this season. How many times have we been able to say that in recent seasons?

 

After watching Mitro a bit more closely the past couple of seasons, I’ve realized he’s not a one trick pony. Yes, he’s a very good goal scorer, excellent in the air, but he excels in another area I hadn’t really noticed before: passing. His touch in and around the 18, and medium to short range in midfield is sublime. His hold up play is very, very good also, but his passing is superb. It’s flabbergasting how poorly Scott utilized him during his tenure. But Joka, Marco, and his national team coach and teammates have it figured out. Get the ball to the man in front of goal by any means necessary. Yes, he loses it at times, but, at the end of the day, the pluses are way ahead of the minuses. I’m glad we re-upped him through ‘26, which also happens to be his age. The man’s got a lot of soccer left.
