Rutzler is also reporting that Stefan Johansen is being sold to QPR.

Knew it was coming, but it still hurts. StefJo’s best seasons are probably behind him, but he’s still only 30, so who knows? All I know is, like it or not, every side needs a guy like him on the squad to be successful. Need a match saving tackle (legal or not)? Gotta try something audaciously loony to get your side out of a rut? Is an opposing player getting too cocky? Dial up #8. He’s a winner. And we did pretty darn good during his five years with Fulham. He’s a little dirty when he needs to be, sometimes when not, but you need a guy willing to risk it. There are many, but the two plays that are seared into my memory are: 1) the ball he chested down toward Ryan Sess in the 2nd leg playoff at hone against Derby that Sess smacked in to level it and, 2) the blistering long distance pass that Sess controlled (somehow), that led to the Cairney goal against Villa at Wembley. Without those two plays, we don’t sniff Wembley or get promoted.

not too terribly concerned StefJo had moves but his temprement hurt the club more than it helped. He was a walking yellow card for any opponent who knew how to get under his skin.

I don't know what to do with myself. Wilson, Gazzaniga. Grimes almost official. We're making excellent signings before the start of the season. Soon, I won't have anything left to complain about. We get a striker, get rid of Le Marchand, and I'll actually be happy. That's close enough to the 25 senior players we can register in the Championship,

Not to downplay the recent signings, especially since keeper was one of the needs, but the winger and (potential) midfielder seem a bit reminiscent of recent windows where the best player was selected as opposed to someone who fills a specific need.

I don’t know what Silva’s plan is but I won’t be optimistic if we’re running out Mitro and Cav as the only 9s. I would assume that at this point some of the current wingers are being shopped around but who knows.

I’m still hoping for a striker and perhaps a creative midfielder. I think we’ll be okay with the back line because most are Championship quality at best.

Are you sure you’re not confusing him with his brother Tammy who plays for Chelsea?

I didn't have quite that reaction, but I did think that this was Abraham's best chance to break into the squad. If he can't even make the bench for Fulham in the Championship at 20 years old then I don't really see a future for him with the club. He clearly isn't rating with the Fulham coaching staff or any other coaching staff for that matter. His loan with Plymouth Argyle was ended early after appearing in just 3 league matches for a total of 81 minutes. At Raith Rovers in Scotland he saw 211 minutes of playing time over 7 matches where he got zero goals, zero assists, and two yellows. He started in the first two matches with them but was then used as a late sub seeing just 19 minutes in the final four matches he took the field.

With the midfielders we already have, do we need Matt Grimes? I didn't watch enough Swansea to understand what unique qualities he offers.

Gotta just shake your head and laugh at the rumor mill sometimes. Depending on the article (won't bother posting) within the last 5 hours, we're either about to sign Muniz or about to be beaten by Boro for his signature..

I wouldn't count on Cairney this season. At 30, those knees...none of that bodes well. We need to do all we can to get Carvalho to sign that contract extension.

Aris announced the signing of Kamara. Nothing yet from Fulham. Will not be missed. Now do Le Marchand.

Muniz has officially joined now, though I think he’s still not in England. I’m skeptical, and I hope he’ll make me a convert.
