Fulham hosts the Premiere League title holders on Sunday at 11:30am EST. The game will be on NBCSN.

Fulham is OBVIOUSLY going to get points from this one because Liverpool hasn't had an away win since week 2! Clearly a pattern that can't be broken. If only it were that certain.

Liverpool has not been the dominant squad that we saw last year even before the devastating injury to Van Dijk. In their most recent away match in the Premier League, Liverpool deserved all three points against Brighton after a questionable penalty decision in injury time allowed the Seagulls to draw level. Last week Liverpool did beat Wolves soundly, but then they also struggled against Sheffield United. Any thing is possible, but Fulham will probably need some luck like Brighton.

Fulham has no outstanding injuries other than Tete so a similar formation to the last two weeks is likely. Liverpool could have Alison back in goal, but their backup (previously anonymous Caoimhin Kelleher) has done a fine job in his place. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make a return as well.

Tete and Onomah both played in the U23 match a few days ago. So it’s good that they’re both getting close to a return.

As with the last couple of matches, I’m just hoping for a solid shift, maybe a little luck, and the promise of points.

For anyone that is a fellow cable cutter, you should be able to catch this match in Telemundo if you don't have NBCSN.

So close to taking all three points from Liverpool that it stings a little to only get one. That tells me my expectations for this Fulham squad are growing.

Great goal by BDR and a silly foul by Ivan and the points are split but if that ball didn’t hit Kamara’s arm that is a really bad penalty. If it did hit Kamara’s arm I’ve got no complaints. Either way four points from Leister, Citeh and Liverpool is a good haul. Onward and upward!

What a day. Fulham almost beats Liverpool in front of the season's first group of home fans, but then ends the day in the relegation zone because Arsenal sucks. Despite finishing the day in the drop zone the past three matches should give Fulham a lot of confidence going forward.

    Today's highlights:

Well I was wrong, turns out it was Liverpool that needed the luck! The first half was a joy to watch. Unrelenting pressure from Fulham everytime they got the ball. After a couple of desperation clearances from Liverpool it seemed like Fulham was the one who had them rattled. I certainly didn't expect a first 45 like that! The second half was more in line with what I expected, but Fulham held strong. I'm still not sure what they saw to award the penalty - maybe they felt like they owed Liverpool one. It didn't change the fact that at the end of the day that this Fulham squad showed they can enter any match with confidence.

Loved everything about the match ... except for Ian Darke. I came into thinking that the logical hope was no injuries for us, and the blind idiotic hope was a point. I didn't expect us to plague them like we did.

Our next two matches should be less difficult than our previous two. We're on our way to a typical Fulham Premier League season: struggle in every match, blow off both cup competitions, finish 13th. I'll take it!

Fulham highlights with GJ and Jamie:

If you think that Fulham just seemed to have some extra vim and vigor in these highlights, you are not imagining things, the video is going a little faster than normal speed in some parts.

I appreciated that these highlights also included the ball that Alison flapped into Anguissa's face that somehow didn't go into the net for a second goal. (It probably would have been called back for offside, but still a great stroke of luck for Liverpool)

We were incredibly unlucky not to take all the points. We deserved them, that’s for sure. I don’t know what VAR is for anymore. I still haven’t seen the handball. It struck the folded in arm, i.e., in a natural position, of the guy next to Abou (can’t remember who), but I didn’t see it strike Kamara’s chicken wing. I don’t know what Lee Mason was looking at on the replays, but he didn’t spend much time on it. Nor did Andre Marriner when he went to take a peek on Fabinho’s penalty box challenge. Still, we’re showing some mettle, and that’s a far cry from where we were just a month ago.
