Love the optimism. We're just 3 points out of 11th.

But this team needs to start playing, or it will be plenty more than 1 or 3 points soon.

Isn't it crazy though they keep signing these wing players?
Kebano, Cavalerio, Knockhart, Lookman, Kamara, Lemina, even Onomah and Decordova-Reid are arguably wide players, shit Joe Bryan is a winger in disguise, Tete seems similar enough.

What do we think we're going to actually do with this line up, playing attacking, possession based football. Dominate EPL Teams with our stellar passing?

Its no wonder we leak goals. With Cairney, Hector, Ream, and Anguissa all playing in the spine of that formation.

Lookman may be a quality signing (I haven't done any research), but I'm completely left asking what hole does he fill? Why is the organization spending time on this when there are clearly bigger needs?

I'm not sure whether I feel like Tony Khan's apology was actually sincere or just another excuse for his own ineptitude. Seriously how does COVID completely negate two signings? Have these prospects been lost in the last few days such that a quarantine would extend beyond the window?

Regarding Lookman: I'd argue that at first glance we don't really need a winger like we need a CB. But we do need a fast, speedy player that can provide pace in this squad and an outlet.

Players that were some of the quickest in the Championship (BDR and Kamara) look completely pedestrian/average at this level. Other wingers haven't lived up to expectations: Cavaleiro hasn't been much since the new year, and has been especially bad at this level. it's been telling Knockaert, who was also so-so since the new year, isn't even getting a look these days. Lastly, Kebano is a folk hero (and someone who's kit I'm going to purchase, making it only second to Chris Baird), but he was a squad player a division below.

Tony K. is a spoiled kid in the process of breaking a toy his daddy bought him. He doesn't have the introspection or inclination to learn.

We're about to lose the Ben Godfrey race to Everton. The Kongolo links have gone quiet. The Juan Foyth talk has died down, too. No way Tony bids the 45MM pounds for Milan Skriniar. And even if he does, with a reputation to uphold, would Skriniar come with no quality pairing in the middle? The Omar Colley link is interesting, but it's faint.

One or two of these, or maybe something else, might come through, but I hope Parker uses the Brentford game to build chemistry among the players he has and prepare for the weekend because that's most likely what he is going to have until the winter window.

This evokes memories of The Damned United and the importance of a strong spine. Fulham currently resembles the late Stephen Hawking. You’ve got a strong asset up top in Mitro but the rest of the spine is jello.

Gee, I guess we didn’t want him back. Although I guess the silver lining is he wouldn’t have helped solve our immediate issue of leaking goals. Still, would have been nice to have him back.

Today's the day. It's do or die time.

Rumors have PSV Eindhoven centre-back Timo Baumgartl and Lyon defender Joachim Anderson heading to SW6.

    Nine hours to go...

Can only loan one more Prem player (rules). 30 minutes + deal sheet hour, still nothing. Saw that the Baumgartl deal was off—sounded like he wasn’t impressed with what he saw.

And then BAM! Chaos in the quite cricket filled meadow as two CB's stroll through:

    and

Joachim Andersen has joined on loan from Lyon. Tosin Adarabioyo is a permanent signing. Adarabioyo came up through Manchester City's program but has played the past two seasons in the Championship with West Brom and Blackburn. He appeared in both matches against Fulham last season (2-0 and 1-0 victories for Fulham).

Andersen looks like really good player. Should improve whoever starts with him.

Fingers crossed the deal for Ruben Loftus-Cheek goes through. Coming off a tough Achilles injury in 2019, but he is a quality player.

I'm thrilled we got some new blood. Hoping that one of the new CB's help stabilize this defense.
