In what will surely be his final home match v Liverpool, one of the hidden disappointing aspects of this end of the season tailspin is Digger will probably not be allowed to have a cameo and receive the standing ovation he richly deserves. One of my all time favorite players, that was all about the badge, so full of energy, and scored some memorable and remarkable goals during the run to the Final. :bow-yellow:

Exactly. I wish safety was assured so that Mr. Davies could get a run out - but like you, SCJ, I think he'll never show again in a Fulham shirt. I also thank him for being, well, a great servant for Fulham. Hope he gets a day out at the Cottage at some point.

There's always Cardiff for the Welshman...

I will hold out for some hope to see Digger one last time in a Fulham kit. Will always appreciate his time with Fulham no matter what.

Since the Aston Villa-Chelsea match is Saturday and Fulham's saftey could be assured before the Liverpool match I will hold out hope to see my first non-US based "favoirte" wear the White shirt one last time.

He was still on the injured list last match. The farewell ovation may have to take place with Simon on the Cottage terrace.

I like Digger too, but has he played 90 minutes in the last 3 years? Not that a runout wouldn't be possible, just maybe not as realistic as we hope.

It's too bad he didn't get one last cameo in a Fulham shirt, but the guy was rightly beloved by Fulham fans. More than just for scoring one of the most crucial goals in Fulham history (not to mention being the only Fulham player to score a goal in a European final...), he never gave less than 100% on the pitch and with fans of our club that goes a long way. He was a Fulham man through and through and saw a lot of highs and lows at the club (because of his European heroics, people forget he was our player of the season in 2007-08 being an important part of assuring our Premier League survival). For me personally, members of 2009-10 Europa League team is in that rarified air also occupied by the likes of members of the 1993 and 2005 White Sox or '90s Bulls- as long as they don't violently attack anyone, no matter how small their part on the team, I'll always remember them fondly (yes, that includes Zamora and Dempsey in spite of their unceremonious exits). "Digger" is definitely near the top of that list, he'll be missed.

I was at that match on the opposite side of the pitch when he scored. It took us a while to figure out who actually scored. Safe to say we were going insane. Always liked that kid.

Easily my favorite player for my short time as a fan. was wearing my davies shirt in the British Bulldog in denver during that final and going crazy with that goal. He always seemed to carry himself with class on the pitch those first couple of years i began watching and i was hooked from there.

I'd hope he receives a testimonial and that it happens sooner rather than later.

Couldn't agree more, still bummed he didn't get on the pitch for the  he deserved. He embodied everything great about the sport.
