The sense of optimism ain't exactly at an all-time high since it's friday and no one has mentioned the final home match of the season. Liverpool is finishing the campaign strongly and have been taking a bite out of the opposition  . Fulham embarrassed themselves at home last week, but thanks to Swansea beating Wigan could be safe by the time the match rolls around on Sunday. If the team doesn't play with pride and purpose (forget the scoreline) after that debacle and it being the home finale, then Jol has officially lost the team (if he hasn't already). I think the players will respond with a similar performance that they had against Arsenal, let's just hope that no one in white sees red, 1-1 Final.

I can't even predict if or when we'll actually show up to play, much less pick a result. The safest bet is I'll be disappointed in either the result, the effort, the tactics or all of the above. So I'll go with a loss but a draw wouldn't surprise me. Pride should be all the motivating factor this lot need to give Pool a fight. Let's see if our boys have any after last weekend.

Show some heart, Whites. That's all I ask at this point.

Oh, and Jol's upcoming halftime speech:

No chatroom on Sunday for me. No TV. No report. I'm out of town. Y'all play nicely.

Nope, no heart, no pride, no fight back. I realize it's got to be demoralizing when you're sent on the same fool's errand week in and week out. At this point, it's almost like Jol is taking the piss. Same gameplan, same strategy, same cast of characters...same result.

Yes, we were robbed on the Lucas handball that should have been a penalty. No, that doesn't justify our rolling over yet again. It's almost like we look for the first excuse to do so. Fulham Football 2012-2013... :sad-roulette:

Taped it and have no desire to watch it. The feeling around the team is 'Sanchez" bad, and that's saying something.

yeah, they don't seem to have any heart or motivation to play. If Jol can't get them motivated then it's time to have someone else come in, even though it will be tough task to rebuild this aging squad with limited funds (if the rumors about limited funds are true).

Very obvious that since late March/early April when: Jol signed the one year extension (was supposed to expire this summer); Fulham hit 40 pts; and Dejagah/aka "Plan A" went on the 60 day DL, everyone has been coasting. And it's really blown up in their faces.

Oh, and the constant injuries and suspensions during this span hasn't really helped matters either.

Is it embarrassing? Yes. Is it surprising? No. You can pontificate all you want on how they should play with pride and endeavor and all that but Jol, players, everyone, know the jig too well to care at this stage in the campaign.

I'd like to believe that they'd reboot in the fall, but we'll see.

This season thankfully concludes on Sunday. Now let us never speak of it again.
