    Thank you for the thoughts @SoCalJoe. We survived and managed not to lose power for the entirety of the storm (which is always a plus when you can maintain air conditioning when it's 87 degrees and 100% humidity). While we personally had a few shingles compromised - leading to a small roof leak, the community as a whole was pretty much spared.

    @HatterDon, I'm sorry, I have no information on the conditions in Alabama. I can only hope that they experienced the same fate as well. ;)
