Breeders' Cup 2018

Allow me the indulgence of putting on my tour guide hat, if you will. When you get a spare moment or two today, please do yourself a favor, and tune in to a race or two of this year's fabulous Breeders' Cup card at (drum roll please) Churchill Downs. I was working a double yesterday, none of which included a trip to the Twin Spires, but the racing was scintillating. I'm not a big handicapper, but these races, at this venue, are special. It's the best of the best, not just from North America, but the entire planet. I got to meet legendary Italian jockey Frankie Dettori this week. He's attempting to become the first rider to win the Arc de Triomphe and the Breeders' Cup Turf the same year. It's great stuff. I highly reccomend it.
