Suarez Needs to be banned AGAIN

They do have some points regarding inconsistencies from the FA, but on the other hand I think the FA has every right to consider Suarez's past behaviors.

Very disappointed to read that DeFoe bit someone. He was a player I used to like, not sure now.

 

Never felt disdain for Liverpool, but they've had the opposite reaction than I was expecting and frankly it's embarrassing.

He needs to be banned for a year and required to get treatment from the mental health professional of his choice before FIFA even BEGIN to reinstate him. Anything less would unduly depreciate the seriousness of his offenses.

 

Anyone who reads my posts knows I have no love for Suarez. I insult him at any opportunity that comes my way. However, I would like to pose this question. Is this biting thing any worse than players who have a habit of taking players out like the likes of Brian Mullan, Nigel Karate kick DeJong, etc. Perhaps Suarez responds to frustration and the fevered heat of competition by biting. I know it is a bizarre reaction but it is not going to end a player's career. Brian Mullan has a history of being too physical. When he broke Steve Zukuani's leg he was reacting in frustration to something that had just happened and he took it all out on the next player he encountered which just happened to be Zakuani, who to this day is still not the same player. To me that is a problem. I would have rather Mullan bite Zakuani than break his legs. I know biting is not a part of soccer while hard tackles are, but if those tackles and karate kicks are done in frustration are they not equal if not worse than a bite, albeit less bizarre. Maybe Suarez broke too many legs in the past and decided to bite instead?

And yes those of you who benefited from Suarez's talents on your fantasy team . . . well you know . . . .jab jab

 

Neither are acceptable and merit the same severe punishment. Meanwhile, Suarez's manager du jour, much like Mr. Dalglish, is about to learn that denial is not a river in Egypt. I mean, seriously, do these people not know that this sport at this level has multiple state of the art HD TV cameras pointed at them from almost every possible angle? C'mon people, it's 2014. I don't get it.

I agree.....with the exception of the last sentence. A ban would not, in my opinion, be a corrective action, any more than the death penalty prevents humans from killing other humans. It would be a punitive action. This man doesn't deserve to make a living playing football right now. Take away his livliehood and let him flip burgers at McDonald's for a year, then let him try again. If he manages to return and bites someone again, ban him for life.

I said jokingly to a co-worker right before there first match that Vegas was glad Suarez was not starting as it lowered the odds that he would bite someone during that match.

If we had sports betting in Mass I would have made the bet that he would bite.

Four months? Are you effin' kidding me? Should have been a year. He'll do it again, or something worse, when he returns. You heard it here first.

 

Guess that's the question, are they counted or aren't they? All they have to do is sched a bunch between now and the next tourney they are in if they count and he's back in no time. Hell he could be back playing for his country too by the end of OCT if that's the case.
