RIP Roy 'Doc" Halladay

    Such a tragic ending for a young man (only 40). When baseball experts talk about a starting pitcher being a 'horse' they had Doc Halladay in mind. In his 390 career starts he had 67 complete games, this season there was 4860 starts and a total of 59 complete games. He averaged 220 innings a season and pitched over 250 innings twice.

    There was a point made on MLB network that the last game Halladay probably watched was Game 7 in which the Astros' Charlie Morton was utterly brilliant. Back in 2011 when Morton was with the Pirates their pitching coach told him because of his size he should mimic Halladay's delivery. Check out the video
